Amanda
Heron lodge was fantastic Spotlessly clean and great facilities Great ... Heron lodge was fantastic Spotlessly clean and great facilities Great location for exploring next to ribblesdale viaduct and peaceful and quite We were a group of girls completing the three peaks and did it under challenge times and then needed the hot tub post great ending for our poor legs lol would return in future
We have just come back from an absolutely fantastic 3 nights! The location is incredible and the views from the pod were to die for! The pods are small, but very well equipped and comfortable. The hot tubs were perfect and a very much appreciated high temperature, clean and full. It was our second time staying here and we would happily return again and definitely recommend to friends. We came as a group of 13 and had 4 pods between us all. They are perfect for this, as you can have your own space when needed and be together when you want. The location is perfect for doing the 3 peak challenge and the short walk to the local pub The Station Inn under the Ribblehead viaduct is incredible. FABULOUS WEEKEND THANKYOU!
Jessie
The property is very impressive, the lodge itself is beautiful and in amazing surroundings with lovely views. We particularly enjoyed using the hot tub, even in the rain and wind, our little boy loved it! There are some practical things I would have expected given the price the owners provided a hot chocolate stick and marshmallows but only a few sachets of milk. We would have preferred a carton of fresh milk on arrival rather than something we couldn't use because there wasn't enough milk provided. There was hand soap but no shower gel so we had to go out and buy both milk and shower gel. Given the provision of a hot tub, a few extra towels would have been helpful as well as some way of drying feet before entering the property after using the hot tub as we ended up using a towel to mop up the floor. The mattresses were okay however our bed was a bit rickerty and noisy. I think we would stay again if there a few minor tweaks to the facilities. The lodge was in excellent condition, cleaning has been marked down one due to an unpleasant smell coming from the sink which we let the owners know about.
Oh my goodness, we just had the best Christmas stay in Heron! It exceeded our expectations totally! The pod is superb, cosy, well equipped and a touch of seasonal decor was a cherry on top of the cake! The location is just perfect, so peaceful and views are breathtaking. We've been so lucky with the weather but the canopy and lighting over the hot tub would be a great addition. I'm already recommending it to all my friends and family and I'm sure we'll be booking to come back in summer time. Thank you!
Beautiful and comfortable accommodation, surrounding area spotless. Beautiful countryside, well placed for 3 peaks. Fabulous hot tub and a lovely friendly pub a short walk away serving very good food. Very friendly hosts. Would certainly return, had a brilliant weekend.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Three peaks pods . Wonderful location. The hot tub was great for a relaxing afternoon after our mornings out. For a pod holiday it was great .
This was our 2nd stay at 3 peaks pods, 1st time in Wren and this time in Heron. The whole fire is amazing, well thought out for privacy and views to die for. If I had to find a negative it would be the early check out by 10am and the late check in 4pm. It sort of a waste of a day by the time you in pack etc the 1dt day is over, 2pm would be great as it would give you time to go for a nice walk after youve unpacked and before tea time.
Booked with Woodpecker for a family break. Heron easily accommodated my 2 adult children and my 12 year old daughter. The hot tub was used both evenings and the fire was lit to make smores using the supplied marshmallows and toasting forks. It was back to nature with a field full of sheep and birds everywhere. Just lovely.
Joanna
I booked this holiday based on other peoples reviews and they werent wrong, a fantastic location, it was spotlessly clean, the hot tub was checked daily, really comfy beds, very easy process to let ourselves in with key safe details. We had an issue with the hot tub, but within half an hour of messaging the owner they were they and had it sorted. I would highly recommended staying here and wouldnt hesitate in booking again.
Thomas
Great pods & lovely setting.
The pod was a good size and well equipped to make our stay comfortable. It's location is incredible with absolutely stunning views. There are so many walks and things places to explore. We'll definitely be booking again.
Amanda
We stayed in Wren last October and loved it so much we came back again, staying in Heron this time. Fab pods, great hot tubs and amazing scenery. What more could you ask for!
Danielle
Lovely setting, so peaceful and the property is well equipped. Great base to explore the countryside. We had two small children so didnt do much walking, but so many places near by to keep them occupied. The owners answered our questions promptly and we would happily return. Just two minor recommendations to improve and that's a cafetiere appreciate you can't fit a coffee machine in there and to extend the wooden fence slightly further around the hot tub while not spoiling the beautiful view
Katharine
This absolutely deserved its 5 star rating in all respects. The situation is stunning and we loved the hot tub. By far the best accommodation of this type Ive stayed in. Could not fault it, youve gone above and beyond. Thank you
Love the location. Top facilities and great service m Will be coming back back
Charlotte
We've just got home from a two night stay. Fri Sun. The pod was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. Communication was good. The location of the pod is brilliant. We will definitely return.
Natalie
Just got back from an amazing stay over the New Year at Heron . .what a lovely cosy comfortable pod it is with stunning views and lovely walks nearby. The weather was a bit wild so we didnt leave the pod much in the first part of our stay but this was fine as we had everything we needed there for a comfortable stay and were very happy, everything seemed brand new in there too, comfy beds and very clean..kids loved it too we played lots of family games and to top it off we saw the Northern Lights from our hot tub on New Years Day night! Fabulous it was! Thanks again for a wonderful stay ..would highly recommend to anyone!
Patrick
The pod was absolutely fantastic, lovely and cozy with all the amenities we needed for a self catering stay. Loads of lovely finishing touches like the heron cushions and seasonal decorations the owner dropping sweets round for the kids on Halloween. Hot tub was pristine. The location was fantastic at the foot of Whernside so perfect for the 3 peaks. Excellent pub food just a 10 minute walk on a safe track. Wed highly recommend and will return!
Andrew
What an amazing holiday, the Pod was everything we could of hoped for and more, hot tub under the stars was magical the scenery stunning even 2 magical evenings with the Northern Lights right above us. Evenings sat in the covered porch reflecting on our day spent in this beautiful part if the Dales .
Wonderful pod in a beautiful and remote location! Absolutely perfect for our young family and plenty of walks on the doorstep and a lovely pub 10 minutes away.
Samantha
The Heron was absolutely spotless and had everything in it that you could need. The hot tub and log burner were great. The only minor thing I would suggest is that I would have 4 outside chairs on the decking bit outside the front door as there was 4 of us staying it. There is the added picnic table but this is not great if it is raining. As I say this is only a minor suggestion. I would absolutely stay again
Shezad
My Name is Shezad. I stayed at Heron in Yorkshire Dale's in August 2024. This place was amazing the views from my pod are stunning if I could I would have spent all three days of my stay at the pod just watching the view, but I was with the kids so made them do activities and enjoy the nature. The Pod is a 1010 for cleanliness and it has all the right things to keep you going for about 7 days. My over all experience was a 9 10 this was because I would change two things, 1 I would have the hot tub abit more private as people driving on to the site and past the site could see me in the hot tub. 2 the water was abit yellow, this will pit some people off so I would advise for the owner to get this issues resolved, the water tasted fresh but the colour put my partner off. Diane was a great help she answered all our queries before we got to the site and also when we where on the site. I will definitely be using these Pods next time. Regards Shezad Mansoor
