Barn Owl Reviews

Fantastic stay at Barn Owl. Stunning surroundings and ideal location for walking . Accommodation was spotless and a credit to the owners. Will be definitely booking again
Kerrie
Amazing 2 nights away will definitely be back lots to do and the hot tub was beautiful
Michael
Beautiful scenery and relaxing surroundings. Excellent holiday
Louise
Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. Views were amazing, and as it was on a working farm it was lovely to watch the lambs in the field. The only reason I havent given 5 stars is because the water was tinged yellow Im sure it was safe but very off putting we used bottled water for our whole visit and the water pressure in the kitchen was really low more like a trickle, however the shower was surprisingly powerful! These little issues wouldnt stop us from staying again.
Leanne
This is an awesome place to stay. Beautiful views and very peaceful. Particularly nice in spring with all the lambs about. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
Great stay at Barn Owl First time staying in a pod with our 2 dogs. Found it had everything we needed, beautiful view, excellent location for exploring the surrounding area, hot tub was amazing. Had a very enjoyable stay, would highly recommend staying there
Victoria
We stayed in Barn Owl for a few days over Christmas. The pod is very well equipped, lovely decor with thoughtful added touches. And the great added extra of a hot tub just outside the pod. We stayed with our dog who was also well catered for. The location is beautiful on a farm just around the corner from the ribblehead viaduct with an abundance of walks and a good local pub less than a mile away. Overall we had a lovely relaxing break and Ill look forward to returning.
Served as a cosy base camp for our hiking adventures with our two dogs. Kitchen is well equipped, smart TV's, amazing shower and a hot tub with a view! However, the open garden felt exposed when walking around in swimwear and we were unable to fully relax in the hot tub as we had to keep an eye on the dogs who were tied to the fence an enclosed garden would be much better and would definitely make it a 'dog friendly' holiday rather than 'dog tolerable'.
Rachael
Great accommodation in a great location. Easy to find with the written instructions even when driving in thick fog. Yes the lane to the farm doesnt have many passing places but its easy enough to put your car in reverse to return to a cattle grid with a passing point. First time we have stayed in a pod and we were very impressed, these exceeded our expectations. We would love to return. Highly recommend.
Really enjoyed our stay at barn own, not far to drive from things to do, and approx 20 mins walk tpub ha! Views are lush, overall I would recommend to stay here and will be back. The only downfall is the water was abit discoloured so take own bottled water. Would definitely recommend
Charlotte
We had a great holiday staying in Barn Owl. The pod had everything we needed and the hot tub was very welcome after days out. The views are amazing. Excellent location for exploring, we did several walks from the door and other attractions were only a short drive away. We would really recommend staying here and would love to go back.
Excellent week. Owners where lovely and friendly. Lovely display of working farm life. Weather was great. Pod everything you need well equipped. Hot tub was amazing. Beautiful views. Quite peacefull area. Excellent position for hubby to do some astro photography. The sky's were beautiful. Deep sky's portal 2 or 3??
Best glamping pods we have ever stayed in. Nice big bed and the 2 seater face each other hot tub was so cosy.
Daniel
Lovely place with unreal views! Nobody about for miles its pure luxury.
Sioned
We had a fantastic stay at the barn owl. There was plenty of space for us and our large dog, and it was very comfortable and luxurious. The views are spectacular and we loved all the detail and thought that had gone into the property. The owners were very friendly and we would highly recommend staying here.
Loved the pod. Loved looking out over the valley while eating meals. Loved the outdoorsin side feel and the shelter of the porch from the sun and the rain The only thing that didnt work to well was the induction hob. We found it impossible to use the two provided frying pans at the same time. It constantly errored
Barn Owl pod was everything we expected, probably more. Great location, the pods were situated perfectly for privacy. The area around was stunning for touring and the proximity to Ribble Head was superb. Multiple walks from the pod site and the Station Hotel a 15 minute stroll for food or drinks. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back someday.
Esther
Very modern and clean pod. Spacious and well maintained. Would definitely recommend. Lovely setting. We had awful weather and could have done with more places to hang up wet towels, coats and wet clothes to try and get things dried. Generally more hooks around the whole pod for things like bags etc and a folding clothes airer would be great additions. There is generous porch area with a coat stand but as the rain was coming in sideways it wasn't any good for drying stuff. It's easy to miss the turning into the track road and a larger sign would help with this, we drove straight past. Thanks to owners for help with our flat car tyre.
Fantastic 4 night stay. Perfect location for walking various routes in the area including the Three Peaks. The accommodation was excellent and had all we needed. Could have done with a second tea towel but otherwise faultless
First time here and we loved it. Sat between Ingleborough and whernside, the views are incredible, plus being based on a working farm it was wonderful this time of year with all the new lambs running around the fields all around the pod site. The bed was comfortable, bathroom felt modern and chic and the Bluetooth speakers built into the pod were an unexpected bonus! The kitchen was nice also, couldn't ask for more really. The site was peaceful and the nearest pub is a short but rewarding 10 minute walk going directly under the ribblehead viaduct!
We had an amazing stay at Barn Owl with our dog! The place was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a short break! The surrounding area is stunning, with gorgeous views the moment you open the curtains! Its close to a lot of activities as well, so a great location to explore. We will definitely be staying again!
Wow! What a fantastic place to stay, the accommodation was super clean, warm on arrival and easy to get the key. Top marks for 1 The fantastic WiFi, super fast Bluetooth built into the lodge, mood lighting and of course the high end hot tub. 2 The lodge had everything we needed plus more tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and even marshmallows 3 Great water supply Shower was fantastic modern heating, great kitchen appliances and full instructions needed if you have never used induction cooking Nit picking points to note 1 We got a message saying use what three words to guide us as its the only way to get to their entrance. I used it but it tried to take me in using the bridleway under the Viaduct no vehicles allowed I set my sat nav Waze that found Three peak pods in its listing and took me to the entrance using the correct road. 2 The road down to TPP is a newly laid tarmac road but its single track with nowhere safe to pull over if traffic comes in the other direction, We had to reverse our truck a couple of times nearly a quarter of a mile which wasnt ideal, It was okay but I think if we were to visit during peak season it could be a bit of a problem. Its a fairly long road so some passing points should be considered. 3 The dog walking area, bit of a stretch to describe it as such and Im sure the area would be better served as a bike storage area or motorcycle parking area. Its not suitable as a dog area and on the NY moores its unnecessary. We love the Ribblesdale Valley and will definitely be using Three peaks pods in the future
Absolutely stunning, really clean and well facilitated in a great location. We will definitely be booking here again.
Alexandra
Property and facilities were fabulous. Location is amazing. We will definitely be back.
One of the best holiday properties we have stayed in, it was so cosy and the modern features were amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything more, we had everything we needed, can't wait to come back again we loved it! Thank you so much!
We have stayed here a couple of times now, the place is fantastic, clean, tidy, cozy and well maintained. We will no doubt be staying here more in the near future.
Well the snow certainly didnt stop us from coming and what a cracking place it was too Lovely views and walks nearby whether its snowy or not. pubs not to far away and lovely food too served in them. Will definitely come again as everything was well worth every penny. Pity we couldnt have stayed longer.
We have just returned home, yesterday, from our 5 night stay at Three Peaks Pods over New Year! We stayed in the Barn Owl pod and WOW, it was absolutely incredible! The views are absolutely stunning and the pods are set in such a gorgeous location. They are set in perfect walking distance to the Yorkshire Three Peaks. We complete one peak a day over three days. The owners were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much to ask. We had such an amazing time that we extended our stay by 1 night and woke up to thick snow on our last day
Really peaceful enjoyed our stay. Property was lovely. Only one suggestion need proper signs on main road for entrance as struggled a couple of times especially in fog.
Lovely accommodation. Beautiful views and walks straight from the door. Added bonus of a good pub within walking distance. This was a last minute booking due to another holiday having been cancelled due to storm damage we booked it in the morning and everything was ready for us by the 4pm checkin.
Ashlee
The most perfect, idyllic stay. Cannot find any fault. Perfect location, super clean, brand new, spacious pod. Absolutely loved it. Thanks so much
The Barn Owl Pod was amazing so clean and so well furnished and designed. Shower was the best we have ever had. The only two reccomendations we have is More lighting apart from the security lighting on our pod it was pitch black, so when we took the dog for a walk or had to pop to our car we had to have our torches on our phone to give us any light. Hoover or a brush I swept up yesterday before leaving with a dust pan and brush
Really enjoyed our stay, accommodation had everything that we required for a comfortable stay. Superb location!! Would highly recommend
Loved this little pod and hot tub so quite and the walks were amazing and WiFi was so good couldn't fault it
Andrea
Beautiful pod, clean, comfortable top notch. Jacuzzi checked every day. Pods set in beautiful lawn area next to the farm and overlooking fields of sheep and hillside. Situated virtually next door to the ribble viaduct. Very quiet and peaceful but ideal to visit the west coast and many beautiful market towns around the area. BBQ all set and ready to go if required and Food packs for it can be ordered from the farm. Outstanding accommodation!
Amazing location, away from it all! Great walks, beautiful scenery. Accommodation was clean, warm and very comfortable. Bed was very comfy. Surprising amount of space in the pod. Good outside space, hot tub was a lovely addition. We took our dog dog bowl and bed provided if you forget your own. Easy walk to the pub which has good food, open fire and is welcoming. Highly recommended and we would stay again.
We had a great stay at Barn Owl, brilliant location and facilities are excellent. By far the most comfortable holiday bed we have slept in. Weve never stayed in a pod before but based on this stay would definitely look at doing it again
Veronica
Absolutely stunning pod and view, there was absolutely nothing that you could complain about and would definitely come back again.
Hollie
Absolutely amazing pod, probably one of the best weve stayed at & would recommend to all. Comfortably fit us 1 adult & 2 children. One child had the sofa bed we were confused at first where the bedding was but soon found it inside the bed. Views were amazing, such a great location right by Whernside & Ingleborough in the distance & a short drive into Ingleton. Hot tub was an added bonus after a day of walking & secluded for our pod. It took a little getting used to the yellow taptoiletshowerhot tub water, but felt comforted that its completely normal from the handbook! The only slight negative is that other guests in front of us always had music blaring when they were in their hot tub which wasnt the most relaxing, but it didnt go on after 10pm so not a huge issue.
