Lapwing Reviews

We had a great stay! We had everything we needed and more. Everything was immaculately clean and enough space for the 4 of us and our dog. And to top it off the view was incredible! We will definitely be back
Fabulous location, lovely comfortable accommodation & more spacious than youd ... Fabulous location, lovely comfortable accommodation & more spacious than youd think Plus being able to look at that view while sat in the hot tub was a wonderful way to end the day after being out exploring the dales for the day

Being a couple who regularly travel in the UK, we can confidently say that this was our best ever getaway. The location is absolutely stunning. The pod itself was beautiful, spacious and warm. We didnt want to leave. I couldnt recommend this enough, we will 100 be coming back in the future. It was unbelievably difficult to leave!
Excellent pod, lovely and clean. Had everything you needed. Lovely & rural. Be warned it actually in the middle of nowhere and you have to access it via a single track road, lots of working farms but it was lovely and quiet. Lovely quiet weekend.
Claire
We absolutely loved our stay at Three Peaks Pods. This was our first experience of a pod holiday and it is definitely something we will be doing again and we would return to this location. They really are a beautiful as they look in the photos. The setting is very well maintained and the pods were actually bigger than I thought they would be and we comfortably had enough room for our family of 4. The addition of the hot tub was a great touch and a perfect spot for star gazing on a cold night.
Andrew
We absolutely loved our time here! A wonderful location in a beautiful part of the world. Lovely country pub 15 minutes walk away, other amazing healthier walks also available and hot tub under the stars what more could you ask for?! The pod itself was very cosy and comfortable and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful location and lovely pod. The pod had everything we needed and our dog loved the dog bed provided. The hot tub was spacious and regularly maintained. Beautiful in the evening with the stars. The views were just spectacular, and the local pub Station Inn is a cracker. Walks on your doorstep and short trips to hawes, and ingleborough trails. Diane was a great host and accommodated emergency amazon deliveries for our injured pooch. Can also recommend the vets in Kirkby longsdale. We loved it so much we have booked to go again.
Christine
This accommodation was absolutely excellent, the location was stunning, the pod was beautiful, tastefully decorated and spotless, if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing place this is certainly worth a visit . The owners attention to detail was amazing, even including our pet dog, the owner provided a bed and water bowl. They also provided a lovely little hospitality tray with tea, coffee and some treats. Would highly recommend to others as it was fantastic and faultless.
Lovely pod set in beautiful surroundings. Everything was clean, tidy and in working order on arrival. There were clear instructions on how all the appliances and facilities functioned so really easy to settle in. The hot tub was great but would benefit from the addition of a privacy screen. Overall would definitely recommend
Jacqueline
Wonderful pod in a fabulous spot right by the Ribblehead viaduct with great access to lovely places in the Dales. The hot tub was as an added bonus, great for aching limbs after a day out.
Thank you for another wonderful stay in your pods! It was exactly what we needed after a busy summer, and this year we brought our daughter and her partner who stayed in Curlew and also had a wonderful time. Once again our dog loved being with us although she still has to learn not to bark at passersby on their way to their car!! Comfortable and cosy, we had everything we needed and more, and we really can't fault anything. We are returning to the outside world truly relaxed and reshreshed and we'll be back again.
Amanda
The weather was kind to us and we were provided with some local knowledge by Chris a member of the team. The accommodation was all we needed for our stay and the staff were available should we need them otherwise we were left to enjoy our holiday. Thank you for the restful holiday we needed.
Had a fantastic stay, great accommodation, hot tub is great, staff helpful and friendly. Location spot on, walks straight from site, looking forward to coming back.
Michelle
Was lovely and really enjoyed our stay. We were happy with that particular pod we chose because it was set back in the corner. Enjoyed drinking our morning coffee looking at the sheep. The Wifi was excellent for being in the middle of a farm. Hot tub lovely after a day out walking.we really enjoyed our stay.
Ok, this is the best holiday let we have ever used. The facilities were excellent, the cleaning perfect, the location to dream of and the attention to detail impressive. Only one negative we had to leave at the end of the holiday. Will be back as soon as possible, so please keep the lambs as lambs and sun out all the time. John
Whilst the property was striking, in a spectacular location, a lack of storage for a family of four was an issue, I was perturbed by the close proximity of a dog walking area for dog waste to be deposited, directly adjacent to the rear of our lodge, I feel designated parking for each named lodge would be beneficial, the lack of privacy surrounding the hot tub area could be addressed. Finally a more adequate visible sign from the main road would be great despite having What 3 Words it seemed odd to opt for a single track road.
Nicola
Fabulous few days with family. Had a day out at ingleton walking the waterfalls followed by a pub lunch and our final walk to the pub near the pods. Took about 20 minutes, dog friendly, warm welcome. Will definitely return
Monika
We had an amazing stay at the Lapwing Pod! Everything was spotless, cozy, and wellequipped for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a fantastic touch, perfect for unwinding in the beautiful surroundings. If we could suggest one small improvement, a mop or mat near the hot tub would be helpful. But overall, our stay was perfect, and we cant wait to return. Highly recommend!
Claire
The lodge was lovely very clean and cosy. The views were spectacular would definitely recommend to stop here. Only negative was the hot tub was set at 37 degrees which was too low in the winter months,so we didn't really use it.
We really enjoyed our stay in Lapwing Pod despite the fog, wind, rain and then ice! Stunning local scenery when the 3 Peaks finally emerged from the clouds on the last day! Relaxing in the hot tub in wind and rain was challenging but fun. Constructive comments for shower....non slip mat needed, and caddy for accessories would be helpful. We are mother and daughter who prefer to sleep separately, so used both bedrooms. Double room very well appointed but twin room not really comfortable for even 1 adult, great for 2 children. A second hanging rail to match the other would improve space usage. Heating system was extremely efficient and welcome in late DecNew Year 20245. Living and kitchen facilities well equipped and comfortable.
Maxine
Amazing little place. Just what we needed and it fully met our expectations. Perfect spots for walks or even just a short stroll to the pub and why not
This was a great wee find, we did however send a message to Skyes but had no reply and also didnt appear to pass message on to hosts. Our host were great and left us to get on with our holiday, any questions were answered greatly.
Stephen
We felt for the value we paid for the 2 nights that such a late check in and such an early check out doesn't merit the value of the cost. There was only one other small pod in use and the housekeeping had completed the cleaning of that by 10.30am. Especially in the off peak week day season these could be adjusted slightly. Going by that example we could've had more time in our pod on our entry and exit days. It was very nice to have the cookies, coffee and tea etc however there was no milk so these were somewhat unusable until we had to travel back to Ingleton to get milk. We had a short power cut which was resolved very quickly by the owners which was appreciated. Overall a beautiful location, pods were modern, clean and well set up. I would put these in the 4 star bracket but little things such as milk or even small toiletries would have made the difference to make it a 5 star to us. Highly recommend for a quiet staycation with plenty of walks and a great pub 34 mile walk under Ribblehead Viaduct. Great video of pods on Instagram under Sykescottages
Cheryl
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE ! ! We have just returned from a weeks stay in lapwing and I couldnt recommend this place enough to anyone wanting peace, quiet and luxury all at once. The pods are spectacular and all the little extras make it incredible. The surrounding area is breathtaking and sitting in a hot tub watching the clouds roll in over the peaks is spectacular. Cant wait to book again and return.
Myself my partner and 5 year old spent the best 4 nights at Lapwing, it was everything we had hoped for and more! The space is very generous and the pod is very well equipped and beautifully decorated with cool modern touches. Plenty to do in the area during the day and a lovely local pub serving super tasty food! The hot tub was great for relaxing in during the evening after lots of walking and exploring during the day. Would definitely recommend and we would love to re visit in the future.
Helena
An absolutely fabulous place with 1010 owners. Stunning scenery, Hot tub was beautiful and well maintained. The full place was unbelievable and we will definitely return hopefully without the kids Lots to do in the local area, beautiful walks, Caves, Diane & Ian are fantastic hosts and went above and beyond during our 2 week stay to ensure we were comfortable without being intrusive. I would encourage everyone to visit this place as it truly is a little piece of paradise with the added bonus of some sheep for company. I am well travelled and can whole heartedly say this is one of the nicest places I have visited. Huge thank yous to Diane & Ian
Darren
The pods where amazing the views from the pods where outstanding, very clean and tidy The hot tub was lovely to relax in after a long day of site seeing. Nice little village pub at the end of the road the fish and chips are a must have.
We have just returned from a 4 night stay in Lapwing pod. The pod was very well equipped, spacious and very clean with the added bonus of a hot tub ideal for relaxing after a day of walking and exploring this stunning area. The pods are in a peaceful location close to the Ribblehead viaduct, approximately 20 minutes walk from Station Inn which serves lovely food and has a decent size beer garden with beautiful views. We will definitely return, the pods are the best we have stayed in and are perfect for those of us with pets as they have a porch area to the front of the pod. The owners even provide a pet bed and water bowl should you forget your own.
