Sun Rise Reviews

Sarahjane
So glad we found this place to stay! Such a beautiful peaceful setting we loved the view, fields and the sea, and the goat next door! The pod was absolutely perfect, so clean and nice, with everything we needed. It looked just like the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting out on the decking. It was easy to drive out to places such as Penzance and Lands End, and we also went to the shop and the pub in St Buryan village. Thank you for such a wonderful relaxing holiday we hope to come back again another time.
Renata
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good location, very helpful owners quick to reply to our messages and fix issues. Pod was lovely, comfortable bed and decent facilities. Biggest gripe was the cleanliness. The place was overall decently clean on arrival however some areas had been missed E.G down the sides of the bed were very dirty, clearly not having been cleaned for some time. The light above the bed in particular was covered in long standing cobwebs and there were cobwebs above the shower. The bench outside was covered in cobwebs etc. we appreciate there are lots of insects however these cobwebs are clearly not new and the sheer amount of them on the bench shows cleaning details are being missed. Additionally, we could do with one more tea towel for a weeks stay. The knifes were also dull and could do with a sharpen. Overall, really happy with the owners and our stay, thanks again for having us!
Lovely setting, very clean, only downside would have preferred an oven to a microwave, and a little more storage for clothes, apart from that loved it.
Lovely clean and cosy pod in a great position. It was great for just me to stay in small for two particularly if the weather was poor luckily I only had 1 day of rain october. A bit too warm for me at times with the heating on I'm not sure the thermostat was working. Hot tub took ages to get warm but the instructions were great again fantastic position with distant sea view
We had a wonderful holiday in sunrise pod at boskennal farm in St buryan . The quietness of the fields created a serene sense of being cut off from the world and all its problems . Perfect . The pod itself is economically designed for 2 people but big enough to house all the essentials . Its camping in a larger than usual sturdy wooden tent . The addition of a log fire heated hot tub just outside the pod made our evenings fun and relaxing as we giggled and sipped wine until the night fell and we were treated to an awe inspiring view of the stars above , meteorites and satellites the lot . Just a great , better than usual break in lovely Cornwall. This style of accommodation is highly highly recommended. Take bug spray and citronella incense to keep horse flies away . Not a major problem . Pray for great weather and you'll have the best time ever . 2010
Zara and James have thought of everything at this pod. From cleanliness to facilities also plenty of cutlery and lovely robes for use after the hot tub. We would definitely recommend and go again!!!! Superb!!!!
Keenan
We had a perfect stay, was a perfect hub for exploring southern Cornwall and had all the facilities for R&R including the hot tub and kitchen equipment. James was a perfect host, was friendly enough to help with the hot tub and with any other queries. Would 100 recommend!!
The pod was exactly as described. The cleanliness and facilities are exactly what you require and the location is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing break. The added touches on arrival such as milk in the fridge, slices of cake and logs, paper and torch for setting up the hot tub were the icing on the cake. We have no hesitation in recommending this pod at all. 5 stars all round.
Great property and location to visit most of South and West Cornwall. Well equipped property.
Lovely welcome, good communication from owners. Cleanliness of Pod was exceptional. Exceeded our expectations. Near to Lands End and Penzance. Overall Great Experience. Would recommend.
Victoria
Lovely relaxing stay away in the perfect spot for getting away from it all. Pod is exactly like the photos, very clean and maintained to a high standard. Love it

This holiday destination was absolutely fabulous amazing and friendly owners, amazing views and amazing facility, would definitely want to Come back on a yearly basis, my partner loved it and was everything we hoped for, for a first holiday as a new couple, we loved meeting caramel the goat and hope to see her next year and some of her friends too,
Was a lovely stay very clean and we had everything we needed. We thought it was a lot less private than it dates and the hot tub was quite troubling struggled to get it really hot and to stay hot. But it was fantastic! Would go back!

After reading the great reviews about the Sun Rise pod in St Buryan Cornwall, my partner and I thought this would be a great stay for us both. We were alittle disappointed that there was no welcome pack, no WiFi password, no fire lighters or newspaper to light the hot tub, but it states that there was some on the instructions how to light it. Didn't see anyone for the first few day, and then no one after that. Bathroom had an odour on arrival, whilst showering noticed water wasn't draining, so pulled out the filter and a load of hair came out, had to clean filter due to having brown grime in it, bought air freshener just to freshen the air. I'm not 1 for writing bad reviews but the shower should of been checked and cleaned before the next arrival. A welcome pack would be nice for anyone visiting.
Caroline
An absoutley wonderful place, very relaxing stunning views. Exactly like advertised above our expetations. close to everything, just amazing. The extras that had been added were spot on definatley going to rebook for next year.
Jo-hannah
A lovely place, nice owners, hot tub never got warm enough to really enjoy tbh, which is a shame. Clean, warm and well appointed pod. Warm in cooler weather. First few days, continuous bird scarers from daylight till dusk. Understandable on arable farm, but perhaps let customers know, probably won't get a lie in when on which when on holiday is a bit frustrating. Over all, a gd stay and kind help with lighting hot tub.
Very helpful owners, gorgeous location and cabin! Will definitely be visiting again!
Hollie
First time staying in a shepherds hut and it was fabulous. So cosy and snug after long days at the beach. The hot tub was amazing love the fact that its all wood with no plastic in sight! My toddler stayed snug on the sofa and we took the bed plenty of room. Theres a local farm shop close by for great food for the BBQ and its so close to many beaches.
Charlie
Was a great weekend break, Roger, Zara and James all looked after us very well and ensured we always had everything we needed, even little things like setting up the hot tub and offering to do it for us if we were out and about so it was ready for when we got back was very kind of them. The property itself is great, very quiet, has beautiful views and the pod is spacious and comfortable. Would recommend and would also come back again!
Nice place, Zara and James are very helpful, very clean, comfortable, near the ... Nice place, Zara and James are very helpful, very clean, comfortable, near the village, 10 minutes walking, with a small supermarket, restaurant and bus station
Hi stayed in the sun rise pod for a couple of days and we couldnt fault anything. It was very clean and modern and James and his dad were very helpful and even started the hot tub for us! Would definitely recommend for a little getaway!
