Godrevy Shepherds Hut Reviews

Jonathan
We would like to say a massive thank you for letting us stay at the shepards hut, the place is in the perfect location and is cute and content and also private. The hot tub was amazing to use after lovely days out and we got welcomed with a family of ducks every morning. Set next to a river gives this place a magical feel. All amenities were working and the shower was good too. The only thing it could of had to make it 110 would be an air fryer, but there are plugs there so can bring your own. Comfy bed and Hayle has everything you need from M&S, Asda, Lidl and even Sainsburys near by. We are looking at going back again for sure. Owners are delightful and amazing people. Thank you once again! Book now everyone you wont be sorry!
Georgia
Lovely property in a dead quiet location. It is quite close to 2 other holiday lodges but they were not occupied on our weekend. It would have been good to see basic instructions for things like the hot tub and wood fire, having never used either of those before.
We had a great stay here. Alan was very helpful with a couple of issues. Great location to explore surrounding areas. Hidden gem!! Great value. Can not wait to come back. Would be good to have fishing info in the hut regarding lake access, etc.

We had a wonderful 2night stay at the Godrevy Shepherds Hut in Cornwall, just a short distance from St Ives. The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful greenery, making it the perfect countryside escape. The hut was spotless, tidy, and very well maintained. My wife especially enjoyed the hot tub, which was a lovely way to relax after exploring the area. Everything felt calm, comfortable, and private. A fantastic place to unwind and enjoy naturewe would definitely recommend it!
This is the perfect place to relax, no noise at all. The hot tub is a great addition to the Shepherds hut. Hayle beach is a short 10 min drive away, hayle town also has a Lidl, Asda and small convenience shops. It also has a Mcdonalds, marks and Spencer, and next and other businesses local should you forget anything. 10 out of 10 for everything. Would definitely go back, and would recommend to others.
We had a fabulous time staying at Godrevy Shepherds Hut. Alan, the owner, was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and the hut was perfect for our requirements. It is so peaceful and set in beautiful, wellmaintained grounds, which was such a bonus. The hut is attractively furnished and very comfortable for two people with clean wellmaintained facilities that make the most of the compact space. The surrounding area was great with easy access to Cornwalls attractions, by road or public transport when we chose. The hot tub was also lovely at the end of each day so we give Godrevy 1010 for relaxation. We would definitely consider booking again.
Lovely little shepherds hut with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is no comfortable seating therefore I would suggest taking some foldable chairs for outside if the weather is nice. There is a small table and x2 stools but due to the lack of space for clothes this became our clothes storage, a fan would have been a nice addition in the heat. Overall we had a very nice stay, the area is remote but that meant for a peaceful night.
Philip
The shepherd's hut has been well looked after very clean and tidy, had everything we needed for our stay. Situated on a beautiful location couldn't fault this accommodation at all.
We enjoyed our stay in the shepherds hut. We did take with us two comfortable folding garden chair and used these in the evening in the Hut. The two wooden stools provided were OK for eating at the table but we did need coming better for evenings in. The hot tub was super to use and the setting of the Hut in the grounds of the fishing lakes with a private garden area was appreciated.
Sabrina
Amazing stay very beautiful area, great for relaxation. Perfect little gateaway for holiday. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Instructed us on how to use everything, even the hot tub. Very recommended for couples time away. Really enjoyed this holiday. Thank you
Andrew
Very well kept site. Friendly owners. Perhaps a more comfortable seating arrangement could be arranged inside. Very comfortable bed.
Nicola
Had a lovely stay the cottage had many thoughtful gestures like conplimentary coffee and biscuits and guide books. Alan could not have been more helpful.
Beautiful place, very clean and tidy. Was met by owner on arrival who was very helpful with information about places to visit and where best places to dine out, also such a nice person. Hot tub and log burner were great. Very peaceful place I certainly will book again.
Apart from the weather we had a lovely few days the site is stunning the hot tub ... Apart from the weather we had a lovely few days the site is stunning the hot tub was awesome the shepherds hut was well equipped and cosy the only thing was we arrived Friday teatime it was cold so we decided to light the log burner but there was no matches or lighter my husband had to go to the nearest garage
Robert
Had a perfect short break in the Godrevy Shepherds Hut. Every thing you need is provided by the owner and all to a high standard. The hut was spotlessly clean on arrival and all kitchen appliances up to date and p.a.t. tested ! The whole site is extremely well maintained and very relaxing and peaceful and yet close to the town and beaches of Hayle. Would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly make a return visit.
We loved the shepherds hut, it had everything we needed, and was set in such a tranquil location. The extremely comfortable bed and black out blinds were perfect for ensuring great sleep. The bathroom was compact but the shower was hot and powerful, the towels lovely quality, and the towel rail was great for getting the towels dry. We were impressed with the hot tub, which was so relaxing and was a lovely luxury. The kitchen is well kitted out with everything you need, including a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and biscuits for when you arrive! The outside space by the shepherds hut is private and quiet , ideal for sitting and reading a book or enjoying meals outside. If youre looking for a relaxing, peaceful location this is perfect.
Stayed here at the start if June, what an amazing place! !! Alan is super polite and very helpful, caught some banging carp which was a lovely bonus! Even managed one of the tench! Perfect place, great location, a genuine 1010, will be back next year 100, counting down the days.
Elliott
Lovely property and perfect base for 2 people exploring the area. The hot tub was excellent and someone helpfully showed us how to use it. This is situated just off the main road in a tranquil wood environment with some very cute ducks. The hut was beautifully decorated and had just about everything we needed. The bed was very comfy and we found it to be lovely and warm in March no need for the fire in the end. The bin however was extremely small a tiny bathroom one for the whole place and there were no replacement bin bags provided which we found inconvenient. There was also nothing provided for recycling. There was no extractor for the hob so we did find even with the windows open it got very steamysmokey whilst cooking. It could also use with some light near the countertops as we found it very difficult to cook late one evening. Overall would recommend just a few suggestions to take onboard
A fabulous stay so peaceful close to St Ives Penzance Sennen and Land Ends and just a short drive away to Hayle beach the shepherds hut is so cosy it has everything you need a comfy bed I've never slept so well powerful hot shower and a steaming hot tub and lovely views my only complaint is the week went too fast in this hidden gem . ..... thanks for a lovely stay
A compact but well thought out property in a secluded area. The owners were so friendly & welcoming. I was really lucky with the weather so didnt get to use the log burner, but I did make good use of the outdoor hot tub. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Richard
Lovely and clean Bed was very comfortable Shower was high enough for me and im 6. 5 It was very peaceful just what i wanted The owners were very friendly and helpful
A lovely place to stay, in a lovely peaceful area. Owners were very welcoming and accommodating. There were no complaints whatsoever about our stay. Will definitely stay there again.
Caroline
We had a wonderful stay at Godrevy shepherd's hut. It was comfortable, clean and in a beautiful setting.
Perfect place to relax and unwind. Excellent location with 3 lovely lakes to wander around. Alan, the owner, is really friendly and so helpful. Nothing was a problem. Within easy drivable reach of local beaches and amenities. Shepherds hut had comfortable bed and was well equipped for our stay. We will definitely be returning soon. Words cannot explain enough, but don't take our word for it, go and stay there.
