Meadow View Reviews

Richard
Just one word would cover the whole accommodation Tired . Very very tired . Bed was very very soft and base was noisy . Floor by the bed was uneven . Fridge was rusty and dented. The hot tub was dirty and no one came to service it while we were there, so didn't use it . The lights outside were to bright , we had to throw a towel over them so we could sleep. I know its on a working farm but there were thousands of flies in our pod, we were constantly swatting them . Yet again, we left a day early . This was our third visit and also our last .... sorry but for 400 for 3 nights you need to up your game .
Heather
Amazing stay , amazing views , so safe and private diesel
This was exactly the break I wanted and needed. I stayed in Medow Veiw and it was my little bit of heaven. The bed was so super comfy that I slept longer than I ever have in decades. This was better than a home from home. I wanted to stay forever. I felt extremely spoilt having my very own jacuzzi. The staff and management were very welcoming and helpful beyond my expectations. The veiws were to 'die for'. Local supermarkets were no more than a twenty minutes drive away. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. If I can save enough money, I'll definitely book to go back here again.
Absolutely loved our break. Pod was brilliant and hot tub great.Went out and about every day.lovely scenery and dams were a great site.. waking up to sheep and cows in the morning was so relaxing.Just a great experience..
Location and hot tub were wonderful. Dishwasher was out of order, mattress needs replacing or a mattress topper at the very least. Sofa only reclined on the left, I think a two seat recliner would be much better, it could be facing the view and tv
Christopher
Best place to stay very comfortable lovely views best place to take my dog looking forward to booking this again
Steven
Had an absolute fantastic stay even though it rained all weekend it didn't stop us doing what we wanted. Hot tub was amazing seeing the stars in the sky of the night just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing long weekend
Stuart
Lovely place cant wait to come back
There was no TV remote someone had noted in visitor book in June, click kept stopping, doors blew open twice eventhough we locked them. No sharp knives only 2 cheese knives that couldn't cut Cucumber no scissors
Graham
Really nice place just a couple of issues. . rusty fridge door not a pretty site.. recliner couch broken on one side .. toilet door could do with a lock as it doesnt shut properly.. gap in the front doors maybe an issue in the winter.. shower head leaks and no correspondence with anyone even though I sent a txt message about the couch.. there are a lot of flies but not a lot anyone can do about that . I feel it is a lovely property in a beautiful area just needs a bit of attention.
Sidney
No TV remote. Mirror needs to be over sink in bathroom not behind you .toilet seat very loose .don't think should have to pay for logs for fire pit as cost is high enough to cover that .no doors would fit in catch when closed .
Elisha
The accommodation was truly outstanding. The extra packages available were a lovely touch, and easy to order more during the stay. All information that we needed was clear and easy accessible. For during and after our stay, with flyers of local sights and activities including numbers for taxi firm, dentist and doctors. The guestbook was great to have around with previous holiday makers and their recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Very easy to find. Views were spectacular, hot tub was amazing especially under the starry sky. Everything was spotless and had good basic amenities available. Only thing I'd love to have seen is some more comfortable outdoor seating to relax in. Bench had seen better days and firepit was a bit unsteady but still usable. Other than that I really couldn't fault our stay here, and I have no doubt in my mind that we will be back as soon as we can!
Stuart
Perfect perfect perfect

Its the 2nd time we have stayed in this property this year. One thing that lets the place down is the fact the little faults mentioned by many guests havent been addressed. Also I appreciate they are doing work to improve the site but it does make it difficult to relax with all the noise from the builders etc.
Michael
The whole concept was excellent, as were the views, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in spite of the weather. The lodge does need some minor repairs, such as replacement mattress and bolt on door Really nice touches such as the comments book

The pod was absolutely gorgeous it had all the amenities we needed lovely and clean towels was provided and all kitchen cleaning aids. Thanks for the tea coffee and sugar left for us. The hot tub was fabulous we loved it. The view from the pod was amazing and our own speacial garden was great. Thank you we had such an amazing holiday will definitely be coming back
Rebecca
We had a fantastic week. The accommodation is very good value for money! We will return although not to the same pod as we are concerned when the hedge grows any taller you wont see that fabulous view! Thank you for a great stay. We are missing the hot tub already!
This little break away has been amazing! The log cabin was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. Beautiful views over the Welsh valleys on a morning whilst watching the Red Kite Birds fly over was breathtaking. The addition of the hot tub was a real treat after a long day out in the sun. Honestly couldn't recommend this place enough. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be looking to visit this site again, especially since they now have hobbit holes built into the side of the valley! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Matthew
Very nice place to relax with fantastic views over the valley, with the nice addition of the hot tub. Also nice secure garden for the dogs to play and explore.
Elizabeth
This was a truly beautiful part of Wales. The accommodation was exactly as pictured with a very comfortable bed and sofa. There was a lovely welcome basket waiting for us on arrival which was really lovely. The garden is lovely and big, the views are amazing and the hot tub was wonderful. If you're looking for peace, quiet and relaxation this is the place for you!
My fianc and I had the best time in the lodge. We decided we'd spend our first NYE doing something completely relaxing. And it certainly was that. The lodge was perfectly clean on arrival with all the facilities you need. We also went on lovely walks to see the countryside, with Rhayader just down the lane made for a perfect pub lunch and beer. Throughly enjoyed our stay would highly recommend
Stuart
This was a weekend for my girlfriends birthday, it did not disappoint! It was lovely and clean, cosy and the hot tub especially was brilliant. Even with torrential rain, hail and winds to knock your socks off, we had an amazing time. Will 100 be booking again.
We had such a lovely holiday here at Meadow View. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. The lodge was cosy and comfortable, and the hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of the day! Hadnt expected a dishwasher from the pictures but it was a nice bonus. Wish there had been an oven, but the hob and microwave did the job for us. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Philip
Just returned from a lovely week away at Meadow View Rhayader. What a wonderful place it is, clean and comfortable with stunning views to great you. Pods are well spaced and positioned each with its own fenced garden, patio and hot tub areas. Hot tub was ideal way to end each day watching the sunset of the beautiful valley. Rhayader just a 2 minute drive had numerous places to eat, a variety of cafes, restaurants, and pubs and those we tried were good. Elan Valley just a 510 min drive away with many walks and cycle tracks with glorious scenery. We enjoyed so much that We are already rebooking for next year
The owners of the pods have extended the site since the brochure pictures were taken so we weren't expecting to be one of several holiday makers. This did not impact on our enjoyment of the holiday but we wanted you to know. The hot tub was amazing and well maintained. We will definitely book with Sykes again.

Natasha
Fabulous little break for new year. The pod was just perfect, cosy, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was an added bonus which we thoroughly enjoyed being able to relax in after our long walks. Our two dogs loved the freedom of the enclosed garden and the local country walks also We will be booking again for next year
Rachael
Absolutely loved our weekend break. It was brilliant that as we arrived the cabin was all nice and warm and the hot tub was already on for our arrival. WiFi has its moments but you are in the middle of no where. Rhayader was a lovely little village we took a liking to the little chocolate shop chobblebox, the cakes were amazing. We hadnt planned anything to do but we found plenty. The red kite feeding was different and also had an intense cardio session around devils bridge and those steps! Really lovely place and I have recommended this place to friends. Very cosy and private perfect birthday treat.
Just checked out of Meadow View and did not want to leave. Couldn't believe how warm and cosy the place was, especially in November! The views from the lodge are sublime and is in a very good location for exploring. My family loved it. Our toddler loved being able to explore the enclosed garden. Will definitely be returning.
