Stunning location, really relaxing and peaceful, we had a great time and it has everything you need stayed 4 nights and there is plenty to do and see nearby!
We had a wonderful time. The pod was amazing and the views were incredible. We would visit again for sure. It was a beautiful place to relax and unwind from day to day life. Thank you for a great time
The only thing really we have to say is the signage coming into it, need more to let people know that their on the right road but other than that it was perfect for sure will stay again!
Love this pod, second year coming and definitely booking again. One thing I would add is a poofe foot stool haha. Just for when chilling on the sofa Or change sofa to a reclining one The location is idyllic Highly recommend and cant wait to be back.
Lovely little pod, great location, the pod sign on the road and at the top of the track don't do the place any good, need bigger and better signs. But all in all would highly recommend this place. Thank you Wayne.
Beautiful pod with some amazing views. Perfect for a romantic break. Would recommend visiting Elan Valley Was a lovely touch to meet our host and housekeeper who made our stay a lot more enjoyable
Lovely area and views surrounded by sheep. Comfortable lodgings with a superb hot tub. really enjoyed our short break away and would recommend to anyone.
Kimberley
We stayed here in June so I booked back for my birthday as I love it. . Very clean peaceful and relaxing break from our busy day to day life.. Will be booking again thank you
Hwyl is exactly as it shows . . . 1 of 2 pods in the middle of absolutely nowhere!! 2nd pod is far enough away not to encroach or interfere, & angled in a thoughtful way to ensure maximum privacy. All you could need including lovely Welsh hot chocolate!, beautifully quiet & very comfortable!! Hot tub had a few jets we couldnt make work, but we never asked for help & were happy without, anyway!! Pity about all the rain, but still a wonderful bolthole for escaping the real world! PS The 3rd car space suggests possibilities of a 3rd pod . . . please dont!?!
The property is perfectly located in the valley with spectacular views and plenty of wildlife we had the pleasure of some snow on our stay it was beautiful. The hot tub was relaxing and plenty of room
A wonderful stay. A beautiful location and pod. An easy location to find, based on the information provided. A relaxing retreat that has been created with love and care. We are missing not being there.
Hwyl is absolutely lovely and we had a great holiday. It is immaculate and comfortable. The decking area, hot tub and views really make it extra special. The weather was chilly but the heating is good and soon warms the place up and makes it cosy. A great base from which to explore mid Wales.
We had such a wonderful stay for my birthday, the pod was so clean and smelt lovely. Was so nice that the pod was preheated as well so as we got in it was so cozy, we are already looking at a stay for next year
Everything you could need for a romantic get away , could not recommend this place enough!
Fabulous location, well maintained Pod. Loved it !
Robert
Very enjoyable stay. Beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended
1010 stay absolutely no faults. The lodge was immaculate, private, super quiet and comfortable. The hot tub was always at the perfect temperature and was cleanedchecked on whilst we were there for our two day stay which we thought was great. Wouldwill recommend this place to anyone.
Stephanie
Our stay at Hwyl completely exceeded our expectations. We couldnt believe how clean and well kept the whole place was, there is clearly a lot of attention to detail that has gone in to it. The personal welcome message written in chalk on a plaque was a lovely touch. The hot tub is the best quality hot tub Ive ever been in, and we would never get bored looking out at the beautiful view. We made use of the bbq each night we were there which was just brilliant, and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out at night looking at the stars, which weve never seen so vividly. Absolutely incredible stay and I cant wait to rebook for next year!!
Lorraine
A lovely pod where you can relax, find peace and enjoy wonderful views of the countryside and the red kites hunting in the valley. The pod was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our two weeks, an extremely comfy bed, cosy fluffy towels and we really appreciated the offer to change the linen after our first week. Having the hot tub to chill out in after a days walk was wonderful and the view of the stars on a clear night was spectacular as there is no light pollution. We were fortunate enough due to the nice weather to use the BBQ several times and it was a big hit. We would highly recommend. For food we recommend The Crown Pub, the Triangle Inn advisable to book and Evans fish and chips in Rhayder and a visit to the Red Kite feeding station and the Elan Valley. This is our second visit to Radnorshire and cannot recommend this area enough its amazing.
Kimberley
This pod is fantastic, clean, relaxing and everything you need for a break away from the world. Could not fault a thing. It's so private and noone to over look you. Would definitely be retuning and would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you x
Ronald
Amazing holiday. The property was spotless and had everything you would need for a great getaway. Can't recommend this place enough. An absolutely beautiful, relaxing, private etc. Place. Thanks for the memories x
Daniel
What an absolutely lovely place to stay and props to the owners because everything was spotlessly clean. Couldn't of asked for a better 4 nights away and I would highly recommend for anyone that is looking for a secluded place to stay.
Stacey
What can I say we absolutely loved it. We stayed here from Saturday to Monday firstly we were welcomed by a lovely little sign, They also give you chocolate and drinks in the fridge we thought they were a lovely gesture. The pods are very clean & cosy they provided you with all your washing up liquid, sprays, toilet roll, food bags, towels ect. You are also provided with a bath robe each. The pods have a hob , microwave, kettle, toaster, No cooker but that didn't bother us as we had bbq both night as we had beautiful weather. Please note if you are wanting to use the bbq remember to take your own charcoal as thats not provided. The hot tub is also great and very clean . The only thing i would say is it would of been nice to check in earlier we think 4pm is a little late as we travelled 3.5 hours so u dont get the full experience the first day. All in all we had a fantastic stay the pods are amazing the views are great what more could u ask for. We will hopefully be back next year for our wedding anniversary. Thankyou to the owners your doing a great job
It was very wonderful hollidyas . We bring our all stuff. Like dishes . Plates .. but there we see .they provide everything alredy . Hot tub was a amazing. Very peacefull place . I still miss it.
It was absolutely amazing. We was shocked you was new to the business and it felt clean cosy and very very lovely small so little details. It was brilliant and we shall recommend to all as well as return Thanks
Honestly the most perfect getaway weekend with my partner and didn't want to leave. Already wanting to return to do it all over again. The pod was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a great stay. The location was perfect and in a beautiful spot, totally secluded from hustle and bustle of normal daily life and the kids!. Loved sitting in the hot tub watching the farmer moving the sheep each evening as well as watching the red kites above and the night sky. Absolutely will be returning to this beautiful pod in the future. Thank you for such a great stay!!
Amazing location and pod. It really is quiet and peaceful and the hot tub is amazing over looking the hills and sheep. At night time you can also see all the stars so clearly. Pod is warm and cosy and has everything you pretty much need. We used the location to do some walking along Glyndwrs Way and the Elan Valley. Both offer spectacular views and countryside. We will be back here to stay again and explore more of Wales.
Overall, it was a very relaxing and lovely stay. The cabin was very clean upon arrival, and everything was in good condition. The hot tub is a great feature for any time of day too, and we thoroughly enjoyed using it. The check in process was also smooth and easy, and they provided simple instructions to find the pods and how everything works within the property. One thing to improve on is maybe the timings to turn up and vacate the property. We had a shorter stay than anticipated because of the late check in, which meant we only had a few hours in the cabin on the evening of our arrival, and on check out we also didnt have much time to do much. Completely understand the property needs cleaning, but we would maybe suggest having either an earlier check in and an earlier check out or have a later check in and a later check out. With that being said, it was a really lovely experience and we did not let the rainy weather ruin our stay! Thank you to you all.
Abigail
We came for a weekend break over Easter and it could not have been better! Hwyl is a gorgeous pod and the facilities are great and done to a high standard. We had an issue when we first arrived turning the hot tub on and the owner came out very quickly and sorted it for us. There are some lovely walks, local pub and local shop in the area which are easy to find. We were left some choccie treats and welcome sign, a lovely touch. The pod is next to another pod but far enough away that it still feels private, we didn't see our neighbours at all. The hot tub and bbq area are also really private. We didn't want to leave, it was so peaceful and scenery is amazing. Only one recommendation I would make is to include in the online description or information email that you need to bring coal for the bbq, this wasn't an issue as when we realised we popped to the local garage to pick some up. I would highly recommend Hwyl and will definitely be returning.
Jordan
Perfect couples get away! Very clean and well kept pod! 30 min drive to the elan valley that made for the perfect day out. Amazing views from the hot tub! Thank you for an amazing few days away!
Kayleigh
The lodge is absolutely lovely, perfect for a couple. The bed and sofa are very comfortable, and the space itself felt very homely. The owners left a note and some treats. Lovely details. There were towel robes for the hot tub, which we were not expecting so that was a bonus. The only downfall would be that there is so little to do in the day. We drove 30 mins into Newtown and we were ready to go back after 20 minutes. We could not find the local pub, i would not say anything is within walking distance personally. We bought a puzzle and that kept us busy for the following day. Perfect for people who just want to sit in and chill it was the most relaxing location. Very out of the way and quiet.
Excellent property for two people. Very well kept and clean with the walks and views from the hot tub superb, thanks for a lovely week.
We had a really great stay here. We loved every minute. The location was amazing with the views and privacy. We will defiantly be returning. Again like previous reviews we didnt realise there was no Ivan and bought food to cook in it. But we took it home and had it. Highly recommend tho
We had a fantastic stay in Hwyl. The pod was clean and well equipped. The hot tub wasnt on when we arrived but the owner came out quickly and it was up and running by the morning. We cant wait to return! Thank you for a lovely stay!
Excellent property for two people. Very well kept and clean with the walks and views from the hot tub superb, thanks for a lovely week.
