Cae Bach Reviews

Absolutely perfect. Peaceful, relaxing and away from the world. Everything here has been thought of with even the little details being taken care of. Outside area is great, allowing you to sit and take in the view. Location great for walks in the forest, perfect for our dog. Will definitely be back.
Annabel
A peaceful place to recharge with amazing views, not to far from local amenities and things to do.
Stephanie
Love love loved our stay at Cae Bach pod. The three of us hubby and doggy had such a wonderful stay, every little detail is covered leaving you to relax in the stunning countryside with amazing views. There is a great sense of privacy, as you get your own enclosed fenced area, which was needed for our young dog. There are plenty of little seating spots to take in the beauties views. The weather was wonderful and great to escape the intense heat of late back home. Very refreshing how cool the hills are in the evening, but with underfloor heating and a log burner fire you wont notice. Kitchen and outdoor kitchen are well stocked, I forgot a few things seasoning, oil, cling film but was all provided. Already booked to come back in October, hubby is already missing the wonderful hot tub. Thanks so much to the amazing hosts and see you soon. X
What can we say but WOW. We have stayed in many lodges and accommodations over the years but this little gem was the best one yet. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay special and were lovely. We will definitely be returning.
Jonathan
Communication spot on at every stage. Directions good, greeted by Huw, lovely fellow, good briefing & left us knowing they were at hand should we need anything. The place is amazing, loved the setting, the working farm, everything about it. They seem to have thought of everything. We would love to stay again, if we can get booked in! Jonathan, Molly & Olive
We had a great stay with our pooch. Everything you could possibly need is catered for! From the communication before our visit to our quick walk around by Huw on site, everything was brilliant. Cant thank Huw and Jane enough for our stay.
Rachel
Perfect in every way! Already booked our next stay
We stayed at Cae Bach for 5 nights to celebrate our honeymoon and had the best time. The hobbit pods are perfect for a quiet getaway to relax away from city life. There is everything you could possibly need and then some. Our dog loved the freedom of being able to run around such a large area. The pods are very well maintained and there is underfloor heating which kept the pod nice and warm on the chilly evenings, the hot tub was set up ready to use at all times and the fire cube made the outdoor area very cosy. There's the choice of the outdoor ninja grill or a fully equipped kitchen inside. The hosts are lovely, we were welcomed by Huw who showed us around and how to use everything. There is nothing we could fault, it truly was the perfect stay.
Our stay at Cae Bach was absolutely perfect. The property was spotless and exceptionally well stocked with amenities, everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. It really felt like the host had considered every detail to make the getaway as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to others. We really hope to visit again in the future. A 1010 visit
Kind amazing hosts, beautiful spot for a quiet get away and lovely grounds and amendities. Recommended to friends and family. Missed it the moment we left. Thank you so much
Me and my partner have just returned from a weekend at Cae Bach and are already looking to book again. It was perfect and the most charming little place. The pod is set on a family run farm, we were welcomed by the familys lovely son, who was helpful and keen to tell us about the farm. The pod itself is of course small, but it had everything we needed and we never felt like there was anything missing. We stayed when the weather was awful, it was wet and very windy, this didnt affect any part of our stay. The hot tub area couldnt be more protected from the weather, we spent the majority of our stay here and again, it had everything you could think of. We started the day with breakfast cooked in the ninja, and ended it with a cheeseboard next to the log burner watching a film. We are always honest in our reviews and like to let people know if there was anything that affected our stay or could be improved, but there is literally nothing at fault at this special little place. We cant wait to return!
Charlotte
What a wonderful stay this place is, from start to finish its been amazing. The pod has everything you need, the views are insane and its lovely if youre looking at getting away from the hustle & bustle of life. The pod was very cosyhomely. The hot tub set up is again, amazing! We took our sprocker spaniel with us, which was perfect for her due to it being so secure. We could relax knowing she couldnt get out anywhere. Theres a lovely forest nearby, which was great for walking the dog. The owners were great with us, as due to the snow we couldnt drive our car to the pod. They picked us up from a nearby location and dropped us back when the snow had gone. Extremely friendly and helpful! I couldnt rave about this place any more, we will definitely be back.
Amazing place! We arrived mid January for a week away and had a great time. Firstly we werent able to arrive until late on in the evening, which was accommodated and we were met shown everything as soon as we arrived. The final road towards the property wasnt the greatest, but if you take it slow & steady its completely fine and we went to and from the property multiple times in our saloon style car. Great full sized hot tub, with the tv in a perfect position to enjoy watching marathons of the traitors whilst enjoying a couple of drinks! The fire cube was used daily and kept the outside area cosy. The pod was kitted out with everything we could have possibly needed. We did a big shop on our first day and only went out for a meal locally one evening, with the local town having some great pubs and food options to choose from. We did move the tv in the pod into a position where we could watch it in bed, putting it back at the end of our stay, which was a 2 min job. The pod is bigger than we thought it would be overall and we easily had enough space for the large dog crate we brought with us for the brief times we had secure our dog she doesnt like being left alone in strange places. Speaking of the dog, the garden area was completely secure for our medium sized staffy. She enjoyed running around the large outside area and also enjoyed the multiple walks we went on in the area! Anything minor was quickly dealt with by the owners upon contact. Literally cannot fault this place. Well certainly be back in the future!
We spent there 11 nights. From start to the end everything was amazing, beautiful view, hobbit pod, hot tub area. Fully recommend if someone really would like to relax in peace.
Our stay was amazing. We came for a weekend break with our dog, it was lovely and we will definitely be coming back for a weekend in the summer. The pod was a lot more spacious than we expected, a lot more was provided than expected and the owners are lovely. We have already recommended this place to friends and family
The place was amazing, so much room in the garden for our pup. Very secure with no way of the dogs leaving, so we could let her roam around without any lead. The hot tub was perfect temperature and the outside undercover seating area made it very cosy. Inside was clean with all the amenities needed from sugar and coffee to oil and all the utensils of course. Bed was comfy and the heating worked great when needed. The only downside was the access to the pod, there is about 12 miles of rough single track lanes with many pot holes. Not so suitable for a low car but we were still able to drive in and out just at a very low speed.
Natasha
We had a lovely stay, the pod has everything you need. We enjoyed the walks in the area and thought the photos of how the pods were built were a great to see in the games room.
What a perfect little getaway! We stayed in the hobbit pod over the weekend and absolutely loved it! Its got everything you could need super modern inside but still really cosy and tucked away so youve got loads of privacy. The view is just amazing too we spent ages just sitting outside taking it all in. The hot tub area was unreal having the fire, TV and outdoor cooking setup made it feel so special. We could have easily stayed there all night! The hosts were lovely as well, really friendly and helpful from start to finish. It was also perfect for our anxious dog. He had loads of space to run around and we didnt have to worry about neighbours or noise, which made the whole stay so relaxing for all of us. Such a peaceful, idyllic spot honestly wish wed booked for longer! Well definitely be back soon.
Wow ! where do we start, this place is unbelievable ! stunning views, fantastic accomodation with everything you could need, perfect peace & quiet allowing you to fully relax & a great outdoor area with the most perfect hot tub together with great hosts Huw & Jane who keep a check on you to make sure your having a great time. Can't thank them enough for a wondeful stay with a great detailed book providing all the info you need about the accomodation, local places to eat, local walks with detailed instructions etc. we loved the enclosed garden area for our dog safely knowing she couldnt get out & the games room was a great added bonus giving us evenings of entertainment battling over pool & table soccer. Never would i have thought we'd be sat outside of an evening in October cooking food on the excellent ninja grill around a wood fire listening to music or watching the tv but thats exactly what we did ! As for the rest of North Wales the scenery is stunning & we literally ran out of time to visit all the wonderful places. Will we be back, most definately, once in a while you come across a hidden gem & this is most definately one of those ! Once again thankyou Huw & Jane & all your supporting staff, youve given us a week to remember !
We have been going on holidays booked via the Sykes website for 10 years and without a doubt, this is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in so far. It was absolutely stunning in a very beautiful setting and incredibly well thought out. We loved the hot tub and it was fun to watch TV in it. The BBQ grill was fun and easy to use. I am now trying to convince my partner to buy one for us! It is basically a fancy air fryer where you can perfectly cook sausages and burgers without burning them! I had been in hospital for 3 months just before we went away and it was the perfect relaxing and beautiful place to recover . I definitely felt much better when we left than I did when we arrived! The owners were fantastic. They left us to get on with our own thing, but if we had any minor issues they sorted it out straight away, which was brilliant. An hour after we left, I discovered that i had lost one of my favourite earrings. They spent ages searching for it and posted it back to me which was very kind and hugely appreciated. We never go back to a holiday let more than once, but we are already considering booking it again for next summer!
The holiday home was exactly what we needed! Everything was thought about from the owners with the extras of a communal games room, as well as use of a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer and a fire log room for when youre needing extra. The views were so much better than any photo could show. Would 100 recommend anyone to stay here
Samantha
Cae Bach has been a wonderful experience the perfect escape from busy life. The views are absolutely stunning, and the pod offers all the home comforts you could ask for. It's great for relaxing in any weather, with the hot tub, fire cube, and BBQ all under cover. Our dog loved the large, secure outdoor space and all the beautiful walks right on the doorstep. The pod itself was cosy, comfortable, and really welldesigned. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in peaceful, picturesque surroundings.
Lovely stay at Cae Bach, perfect get away with our dog and beautiful view. Great experience!
This is such a beautiful place to escape to. The scenery, peace and quiet, the facilities, everything about our stay was perfect and we would love to stay there again. The hosts were lovely and friendly as well. Thank you very much
Christopher
This is absolutely 5. Perfect accomodation, very clean and well catered for. Amazing views and lovely outside area, also very well catered for and undercover just in case weather changes. Highly recommend this to anyone if this is the type of holiday you like. We've been to many but this is by far the best. Very secure for the dog too so he had an amazing time.
Jessica
What a truly gorgeous weekend away we had! The hosts Huw and Jane are such lovely people and so informative about the local areawalks but giving you complete privacy to enjoy your stay, we arrived to Prosecco, chocolates and the hot tub ready to use which was much appreciated. Be prepared for the amazing views you will see from here as it was almost unbelievable! It is completely secure and private so your dog can enjoy there holiday to. Sitting in the outside area with the fire on watching the sunset and the lights twinkling away was just what we needed, do not hesitate in booking this place as we cant wait to return, this has been the best weve ever been to! Thank you Huw and Jane for creating this magical place!
Andrew
From arriving until we left everything was excellent, all the facilities were clean and well maintained, the location and views from the accommodation were breath taking. Huw and Jane offered their support if needed and also had a good balance of leaving you to your own privacy. We have show all our family and friend all our pictures of the stunning accommodation and facilities
Fantastic facilities, the pod had everything we needed and more, the views and sunset were beautiful. Thanks for a great stay.

Samantha
Wow such a lovely experience. Lovely hosts and great facilities. A real escape from it all.
Timothy
This has to have been our best short stay ever! It combines the best of everything with wonderful internal accommodation with a comfy bed, clean bathroom and kitchen. Outside is what makes this unlike any other stay, there is a large secure compound for the dog to run around safely. It is set in a peaceful and picturesque landscape with a lovely hot tub, outdoor kitchen and fireplace. Even when its freezing outside we made the most of being outdoors. Overall this was a fantastic stay and we cannot wait to go back.
A fantastic getaway in a great location! Amazing outdoor area, the hot tub with Bluetooth and outdoor tv were great features. Everything we couldve needed was provided and there were great walks nearby. Would definitely stay again!
Melissa
Truly astonishing, from start to finish was beautiful. Spent mine and my partners birthday weekend here and genuinely couldnt. Of asked for anything better. Everything was there and more. The minting views and sounds were breath taking we cannot wait to see what others they have available.
Finlay
We had an absolutely amazing time staying here and have recommended it to everyone one! The cabin decor is beautifully thought out designed and the views and outdoor area are absolutely to die for and I feel it really makes this place worth every penny we paid. The owners were very kind and helpful too, our orginal pod we stayed in the hot tub wasn't working so they immediately moved us to another pod and had even apologised they were at work so they couldn't help bring over all our luggage to the new pod, I felt this was very thoughtful. The only reason we have not given this a 55 but 45 was because as much as the pods had clearly been cleaned there were a few areas that had been missed such as the taps not being wiped, crumbs on the counter and few food or tea stains on the fronts of the kitchen cabinets meaning I did have to give the kitchen in both pods a clean before we used them. Secondly as much as we understand this is not the owners fault there were several power cuts leaving us unable to cook, use any water or facilities for multiple hours over multiple days. However the owners were responsive and tired to do all they could to get facilities up and running again. However both of these things would not stop us returning or recommending to others. Overall we had a beautiful time, the views are unmatched and the hot tub facilities are incredible! We would love to come back in the future!
Elizabeth
Perfect property for our first trip of 2025. It's the best place we have ever stayed. The pod had everything we needed and was surprisingly spacious. The outside area was a huge wow factor.
Caroline
Absolutely amazing holiday, one of our best ever. Jane and Huw are fantastic hosts, always there to help if you need but in the background. They have gone all out with the pods you have everything you need and more. Outside space with the fire, hottub, ninja bbq, tv and lights is amazing. The views are spectacular and local town of ruthin is so quaint. I cannot recommend this highly enough you will definitely not be disappointed and we will be back for sure!
Paulina
