Y Dderwen Reviews

Wow! What a find! If you want to switch off from the real world and relax in a peaceful area set in beautiful countryside this is the place. The scenery is absolutely stunning and you can sit outside the cabin and hear nothing but sheep and the birds. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset behind the hills, morning walks in the Clwydian Range. It was perfect and the cabin was so clean and had everything we needed in it. Would highly recommend and will be sure to visit again when we need our next dose of R&R!
Such a great little tranquil place to stay with all the amenities you could need for a short break in a little pod. The place is spacious for two people and the little touches from the robes to the little extras really elevated it. We loved sitting on the patio watching the sheep every morning and evening and the hot tub was such a great way to spend the evening after a day of walking and seeing North Wales. Its everything you could need for a peaceful getaway and Elen is lovely and there for any issues should they arise which they didnt but knowing she was a message away really was helpful!

We had a wonderful stay at Y Dderwen in Bontuchel near Ruthin. The accommodation was really lovely and felt warm, comfortable and well cared for, even with snowy and icy conditions during our visit. Despite the winter weather outside, it was cosy and welcoming inside and made a perfect place to relax. The extra touches from the host made the stay feel very personal and thoughtful. There was lots of useful local information provided and we especially appreciated the details about nearby walking routes. It was great to be able to get out and enjoy the beautiful countryside, even in winter, knowing where to go. The setting is peaceful and scenic and the accommodation is an excellent base for exploring the area. We would happily recommend Y Dderwen to anyone looking for a comfortable and well looked after place to stay and would love to return in the future.

Was an absolutely lovely stay, Elen was very attentive and informative. The pod was crystal clean and came with everything we needed for the week. The BBQ and hot tub were amazing and we struggled to leave the pod even to have a walk around. Honestly the best break we've had in a while including going abroad. Romantic, secluded, and quiet. Cannot recommend enough!!
Owner met us when we arrived to make sure we knew how to work everything. Amazing location, not far from the local town. Welcome pack was a nice touch had a lot of information in, with some nice sweet treats. Hot tub was really nice, being able to chill and sit and watch the sun set. The pod itself was luxurious, very clean and tidy when we arrived and the decor matched the area. I extremally enjoyed my stay here, would defiantly stay again.
