Rhosydd Reviews

Absolutely sensational property. Beautiful, modern, spacious for a pod Secluded, secure for the dog and kitted to the teeth with everything you would need from home and then some! I could live here comfortably. Beautiful walks in the area, helpful, friendly and accommodating hosts, and enough fire wood to keep you warm through the night! Go. And. Stay. Here!

This is an amazing retreat. Everything was very well thought out and provided for. Location A total getaway, incredible views that you can't get tired of, very peaceful and quiet. Service Friendly and responsive and really welcoming. Facilities Absolutely brilliant, what a fun set of spaces the hobbit hole, and the outside area, and the surrounding garden enclosure are all great. And to top it off there's laundry, and games room also in the shared area as well if you need it. The kitchens were really nicely sorted and useful, space is limited inside hobbits are small after all but is really well designed and maximised. A comfy bed, lovely shower room, very hot water available on demand any time of day and in any amount, everywhere it was available. I would and already have recommend this to anyone, it's been one of our best holidays ever.

We had such a wonderful week here. The pod was gorgeous, exceptionally clean and with everything you need. The bed was super comfy. The outside space was fantastic. Having a woodburner and a massive hottub. There was a Ninja to use for outdoor cooking, which we used everyday. We spent most of our time outside as the weather was beautiful. The garden was a fantastic size for our doggie and secure too. The views are stunning! The peace and quiet when you live normally in a busy place is priceless. There are lovely walks straight from the pod, you could go for hours. Thank you Jane and Huw for being wonderful hosts. We are definitely coming back.
We had a fantastic stay at the lodge. It feels incredibly private, almost as though you have the whole area to yourselves. The views, especially at sunrise and sunset, were absolutely stunning and made every day feel special. We stayed for seven nights Friday to Friday and found it to be the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. After a day out, it was lovely to return and relax in the hot tub or make the most of the outdoor kitchen, which was especially appreciated during the hot weather we were lucky enough to have. The owners were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with any questions we had. We've already recommended the lodge to friends and family and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Fabulous facilities and location. We all had a really lovely 4 day break, especially our dog who loved the freedom of the enclosed garden Hope to be back again soon

We had a fantastic fortnight in the pod, which was bigger inside than it looks in the pictures. The views and sunsets were stunning. The area is so peaceful and private. The enclosed garden was great for the dog. The hot tub was amazing and the outside covered kitchensitting area was such a bonus when it rained. My favourite place to sit was the outdoor benchtable where you can see the whole valley whilst having a lovely cuppa. We enjoyed walks through the enormous forest, straight from the pod and also visiting local areas. It was a perfect holiday.
This little pod had everything you need! Cooking equipment, throws for dogs, robes for hot tub. The outdoor area was fantastic! So unique and very private from other guests, I loved the tv feature so we could watch and listen to music whilst cooking outdoors and enjoying the hot tub! Inside was cosy, the bed was so comfortable! We loved daily visits from the cows and sheep. The games room is such a lovely addition, which we used a couple of times. All in all we had such a relaxing week away surrounded by fields and nature and luxury! I have already shared and recommended this to my work colleagues and would absolutely visit again!!
We stayed in the other pod last year and we will definitely be back and recommend to everyone. The views are beautiful and its so peaceful and a great way to switch off and relax. The pod is amazing and has everything you could need. Little gifts on arrival are a lovely thought and most welcome The area with the hot tub etc is truly wonderful. There is also a games room, but we didnt use it this year. Our dog loves it here too and knowing the garden is secure, gives us peace of mind. I think the owners have thought of everything
Daniel
We have been on numerous different hot tub stays over the past few years and this property was by far the best we have ever stayed at. The pod itself was immaculate, it was very warm throughout thanks to the underfloor heating and the kitchen had everything we needed for a week stay. The bed was super comfy and the shower warm and powerful. The hot tub and accompanying hot tub area with the fire box and tv were perfect to relax in and it was the best hot tub set up we have ever been to. The outdoor space was beautiful and private with a secure perimeter fence around the whole property. The games room and laundry room were an added bonus and we made good use of both of these features throughout our stay. The forest behind the property was beautiful and easily accessible from the property. Huw and Jane were responsive to any texts and were extremely accommodating to our dog who can be hesitant of strangers. We would recommend their pod stay to anybody looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful location. We are definitely looking to return to stay with them again and have already recommended them to friends and family.
Joanna
Amazing Place to Stay The property and experience was everything promised and more. The owners were helpful and available if we needed, but also left us to ourselves to enjoy the beautiful hobbit pod. It is so well equipped, the family really have thought of everything, and on the snowy evening we were very happy to have the cosy underfloor heating. The outside space totally makes it with a large hot tub and fire pit. This was a great place to stay if you have a dog there were forest walks straight off the accomodation, and it was so quiet that our pooch could go off lead and run around in the trees. There are 3 pods, but plenty of space between each so felt very private. We will 100 be back, and is one of the best pods we have ever stayed at.
This place is an absolute gem of a place. Very peaceful, beautiful setting. We were able to relax and unwind from our very busy job. I have sent the link to quite a few people now as people now. We will definitely be back to explore a little more of north wales as we only touched a little area. Our dog absolutely loved it too, with a great enclosed area where he coukd wonder and explore. Thank you Jane and huw for a wonderful stay.
Michelle
Incredible views! The Hobbit Pod had everything we needed for a break away. The outside space is amazing with the fire cube, tv and hot tub. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Staying on a working farm was refreshing. So many stunning areas for walks, beautiful forests and scenery. Highly recommend staying here.
Brilliant location and amenities, lovely local area with lots of walks.
Connor
We had the most amazing stay! The views across the fields are absolutely stunning, and having the covered outside space with the hot tub, Ninja BBQ, and log burner was just perfect. The pod was lovely, very comfortable sofa and bed, good shower, clean, warm, more amazing views out the large doorwindows. We couldnt have asked for anything more. The host was fantastic and made us feel really welcome. Were sad to be home already and cant wait to return in the near future!
A beautiful stay with everything provided, couldn't have asked for a more pleasant place to go. Huw and Jane were very accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed but also leaving us to ourselves, which was exactly what we wanted.
Christine
What a magical place. If you want to escape for a weejend or holiday, this cosy, comfortable dogfriendly and secluded accommodation with a touch of luxury offers everything you could wish for, including stunning views. Thank you Huw and Jane
Absolutely loved staying here. The lodge was immaculately clean and the comfiest bed Ive ever slept in!!! Heaven! The views are amazing and you have lots of outdoor space for your dog. There was a gap in the fence and within minutes the owner came to fix it. The outdoor area was brilliant. We loved the hot tub, tv, bbq and log burner. Was sat outside for most of the holiday. Theres sheep right on the other side of the fence. The games room and laundry room were a great addition too. Shops etc were 20 mins away. This place was really out of the way in the peace and quiet and we loved it. Stocked up and just enjoyed our time here. We did 3 nights and didnt want to leave. Would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely lodge!
Beautiful property with excellent facilities. Outdoor area was perfect. Everything you needed was provided. It was quiet and relaxing. 1010
The pod and especially the outside area is amazing, the hot tub and outside TV ... The pod and especially the outside area is amazing, the hot tub and outside TV is just amazing along with the outside kitchen area and fire pit, the view is amazing and the silence was so peaceful, no complaints at all and would definitely go again, the owners where also very helpful, absolutely lovely relaxing time
We absolutely loved our stay and wish we had booked an extra couple of days! It was absolutely perfect. The hobbit pod was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Hosts were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Often dog friendly doesnt mean secure, so the fenced field was an absolute game changer for us, as we were able to relax, knowing our escape artist was safe! Really hoping to come back for another stay, as there was an endless amount of walks and nice places to visit we could easily fill another holiday without repeating a thing. It really was the perfect getaway. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Leigh-ann
If you want to stay somewhere to completely unwind and relax, with complete privacy, then this is the place you're looking for! The Hobbit Pod was exactly like the photos and had everything you could possibly need during your stay. In fact, we loved it so much, we booked a return visit before we left.
Lovely stay. The hobbit pods are lovely and the layout of the fenced in gardens and the hot tub and outside areas is perfect. Lovely and rural with great views. Weather unaffected the pods as there is lots of under cover areas. The garden was a delight and allowed our dog to be fully free whilst being totally secure Would highly recommend
Nicola
The pod was amazing, it was a relaxingpeaceful getaway. The pod had everything we needed, the owners have thought of everything. The bed was very comfortable, powerful shower. Lots of nice little touchesextras. Privacy is maintained with where the pods are. I would really recommend, we will rebook.
Angela
These pods are lovely, perfect for a couple and a dog. The hobbit pod had everything we needed and the outside area is a definite bonus, we spent some time out in the evening, even though the weather wasnt great we could still use this space due to the amazing hot tub and covered seating area. The pod has an enclosed fenced garden and the pup was happy exploring and we knew he couldnt escape! Nice warm welcome from the hosts, told us all we needed to know for our stay. The single track access was not the easiest to navigate, our best tip would be to stock up on all you need, the pod is well set up for self catering, and stay in the cozy pod we explored the area by foot as the roads were very quiet. Great place to stay, and we will return
Beautiful location to escape to. Great facilities, everything you need for a comfortable break.
Perfecty located on the edge of a farm overlooking the valley seemingly in the middle of knowhere, very well equipped! it was very cold outside during our stay And the pod is beautifully warm at all times, very friendly hosts. If your looking for peace I couldnt recommend it highly enough! We hope to come back next winter!
Catherine
Absolutely stunning! We had the best stay here and can not wait to come back. A lot of thought has gone into these hobbit pods and they have everything you need, and more. From welcome gifts to a well stocked kitchen and stunning, uninterrupted views it was easy to switch off and relax. Our favourite aspect was the enclosed area so we were able to let our dog run free while we enjoyed the hot tub.
Fantastic private holiday accommodation, couldnt have found a better place to ... Fantastic private holiday accommodation, couldnt have found a better place to go for the week, very private and spacious, really nice and comfy bed with everything you need, cant wait to rebook again for next year, highly recommended
The most wonderful, tranquil and relaxing place to stay! ! Nestled behind a working farm this comfy & cosy pod has all the essentials you need! With the most incredible views we spent most of our time outside !!! The garden is spacious and the outdoor shed with fire box, hot tub, sofa and kitchen is absolutely amazing!! We will most definitely be back soon!!
A little gem of a place. Everything you need in a compact way except the garden really well enclosed and huge! Outside space is wonderful even in moderate rain. Would love to return for more peace
What a fantastic place. The outdoor area is a great place to hang out, even in a cold and rainy day. The views are lovely looking out over the valley, and considering how open it is, it is very private. The accommodation it's self is very comfortable, warm and clean. We wanted for nothing. The bed is big and we had great nights sleep. Getting there is easy to find with the directions given. I guess the small price to pay for the lovely views and privacy is the single track road to get there. Absolutely worth it! The owners have really worked out the challenges of Hobbit Hut style accommodation and come up with something special.
We loved our stay here, the place was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and tidy, and the outside space is brilliant. We'll definitely be coming back again!
Rachael
Fantastic place to stay! The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog to wander about safely and very happily there are cows and sheep in neighbouring fields just in case your dog isn't a fan. The cows popped their heads over the fence to say hi which we loved. The pod had everything needed for a really comfortable stay but we spent 90 of our time in the amazing outdoor gazebo, even when it rained. Settle yourself in the seats at the front for the most spectacular sunset views over the hills. So peaceful. It's also remote enough to cut off from the world but local enough to Ruthin to pop to the shops. Perfect! The owners were fabulous and we can't wait to come back.
Fantastic place to stay
