This location boasts 2½ acres of stunning landscaped gardens and an abundance of natural wildlife that frequently parade majestically around the grounds.
The Pods have been bespoke-built with the retreats relaxing feel in mind, with stylish features and smart design so you’ll feel the full comfort of this cosy home away from home.
With a tennis court, a range of holistic therapies and treatments (additional charges apply - these will need to be pre booked), you really do get the zen feeling at this magnificent location, not to mention the heated outdoor swimming pool that’s available in the warmer months. At the centre of Apple Mount Retreat is the unmistakable ’witch’s hat’ tipi (April - September) that adds to the magical feel as it’s lit by thousands of twinkling lights as night falls. Nights here are pretty special too – enjoy the local wildlife, including hooting owls, and the starry skies that accompany low light pollution. The hilltop location allows for some spectacular views of the Suffolk countryside, and with a large field where you can enjoy a picnic you’ll be relaxed in no time.
Nearby Lavenham, which is just a 5-minute drive away, provides you with a selection of pubs, tearooms and restaurants, and has a popular farmer’s market, food shops, butchers and bakery. Lavenham is also steeped in history, with well-preserved medieval buildings and a museum. If you’re feeling particularly active you can join a walking tour, or take the picturesque footpath from Lavenham along the disused Great Eastern Railway to Long Melford. There are other villages to enjoy as well, including Preston St Mary, which is a 5-minute drive away.
The Retreat is in a rural area and is perfect for those who want to get away, unwind and feel completely at peace while being surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife.
