Tree House Reviews

We saw the tree house and it looks so cool and thought it would be different and fun experience. Kids were looking forward to the hot tub. We checked in at 4pm with our 2 children as soon as we walked in we were hit with a very strong smell of urine. I checked the bathroom which was absolutely spotless it became apparent that it was the large fluffy rug and as this is a pet allowed establishment not the best idea as its not cleanable nor can it be vacuumed as I tried with my very own cordless vacuum cleaner which I am so glad I brought. Sucking up the situation we thought we should set up the sleeping arrangements so we could go back out to explore and eat. So we pulled out the sofa bed to much of our horror it was saturated in dog hairs which I tried to vacuum off, they were just too much and it just got worse when we saw the mattress. No way our children were sleeping on that so we gave them the main bed. We managed to find a quilt that had seen better days and some pillows in the bed draws but no sheet to put on the stained mattress. We contacted the host who had the sheet brought up but we used our own throws over the quilt to make a better situation out of something bad just to get sleep. All you could smell all night is dog wee and dogs. We have had to find an hotel and checked out next day. This spoiled the start of our family break away. The kitchen, bathroom and main bed were spotless apart from shower curtain. Its a cool place just get rid of the rug and clean up better after people with pets stay. We have had no response about this from the hosts with regards to this.

We booked the tree house to simply relax and shut off from everyday life. ....it rained all the time we was there but having the Windows nd doors open to feel part of the wild life during the raining weather was amazing. The hot tub was hot as soon as we arrived. It was a really nice experience.
I was a little gutted on arrival, pretty long single track road up to the properties, with minimal passing places, but I guess that's to be expected in the country, but the treehouse was more of a shed next door to the main properties, not in the woods, not a great place for dogs to run around, no easy to see walks from the treehouse around the local area. My daughter was absolutely delighted about horses being in the field though!! The home itself was all a bit old and in need of some love, inside there were lots of cobwebs, the pull out mattresssofa bed was Very old and worn, outside the deck felt like it wanted to fall apart, the tables and benches were cute but kids kept scraping their skin on them, and they were very wobblyrotting! The hot tub was inflatable and perhaps because there were no instructions and I didn't know what I was doing, we lost allot of water after the first use and couldn't use it again. Overall I think this place could be beautiful, but we were really disappointed because of the amount of money spent

Had a few days here for an anniversary break away. Wasnt any trouble trying to find the place but once youre there, youre very limited to what you can do. The listing specified about being able to walk around but we struggled to find any bridle path without coming across a locked gate. Theres one road in and the same road out so this made it more difficult to walk around the area. Lighting is limited so once its dark, you may as well stay inside if you havent got a decent enough torch. The hot tub area also hasnt got any lighting so youre limited to the time of day you can use it. It also needs replacing as there was a tear on the far side, making it impossible to retain water once you turn the bubbles on. This was a shame as it was the selling point for me when looking to book somewhere. The tree house itself had a strong smell of dog, It had the basics of a kettle and a toaster but if you want to cook, youll need to settle for the microwaveoven. Limited number of plates and cups so if theres more than 2 of you, youll struggle to make do. We had also used the number of the owner on the second day to request a fan due to it being so humid and we were told hed sort something but never showed and never contacted to arrange anything. The views from this place are limited too as nothing is maintained, being set in the trees, it wouldve been nice to have something to look out at rather than branches and leaves given the views behind them. This place could be really good and its a shame Ive written this as this place has potential to be amazing, I think it just needs a little TLC and a little bit of money spending on it.
Thank you for a brilliant relaxing week in this cosy treehouse. The accommodation was warm and comfy, the location private, the views surrounding it beautiful, and the evenings in the hot tub watching the stars ideal. Watching the wildlife really made the week highly recommend bringing some bird food as we spent hours watching the wide variety of birds and occasional squirrel that frequented the veranda, buzzards and red kites also made an appearance in the woodland around the cabin. Cant wait to come back very soon.
Georgina
It was amazing. It made our anniversary really magical. We loved our stay here and we have already recommended the treehouse to our friends thankyou so much for an amazing stay .
Rebecca
We had a delightful three night stay in the treehouse. Really comfortable and peaceful.
Stunning location. Perfect hideaway. We didn't even use the hottub as the tree house was so stunning. Surrounding villages are lovely with great bars restaurants but don't expect to get a taxi. Not even on a Saturday we did the 4.5 mile there and back. Its very hilly Other than that what an amazing weekend
Carina
We had a lovely, relaxing three night stay at The Treehouse, even with two small children in tow! The property was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub hadn't warmed up on the first evening so we messaged the owner who was very responsive and sorted it out for us the next day. The nearby town Aberaeron had some great shops and restaurants. Highly recommended for a short break in Wales.
Natasha
We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend to others. The tree house had everything we needed and was very private. We were at a bit confused about parking when we first arrived but a guy showed us where to park and was very friendly whenever we saw him around. A beautiful place if you want to just relax
Had a very nice stay at the tree house. Its in a great location with great views. It could do with a king size bed and better lighting up the steps and around the hot tub. But apart from that we had a lovely stay and would book it again
Nice treehouse, once we found it the postcode didn't quite take us to it using our car Satnav . Only ve is that I had to pull the bed out to find my glasses case and it could do with a good vacuum. Apart from that all good . Lovely hot tub but take a torch for the walk back down
Fabulous place for some secluded peaceful time. Clean and cozy and close to some stunning west Wales coastline. Well be going back at some time!
Lovely cabin with great views and everything you need for a few nights away from reality. Both us and our dogs loved our trip away.
Rachel
The Tree House was as described Beautiful peaceful very clean throughout siting and eating on the decking was spectacular watching the wildlife. I can only imagine in the summer when the leaves are on the Trees this turns into a magical place. The Hot tub was Devine and clean ' makes an excellent Romantic getaway.
Matthew
We both loved the Tree House. It is very spacious accommodation. The kitchen is quite small and only space for 1 person to do anything in. The Tree House is in a remote spot and the road up to the property is not well maintained. It is very narrow with no passing places, but we only encountered another vehicle coming the other way once in 4 days. Parking once you get there can be difficult to get in and out of, depending on how many cars are in the main property. We struggled a few times getting in and out. We stayed on New Years Eve and there was a very big storm. The hut was a bit noisy, but we felt safe and secure inside and the small heater was enough to keep the room warm. We had our dog, and there was plenty of room for her to run around. It would be useful to have a longer shower lead, so we could wash her down after a muddy walk. It would help keep the property clean in the wetter months. The hut would be difficult to get to for anyone with mobility issues, with 29 steps. The top steps were particularly slippery on the frosty morning we had. There were more steps to the hot tub, which was well maintained and the water very clean. We wanted a quiet getaway for this break and that is exactly what we got. There are plenty of places to visit once there and the area is very beautiful. The view from the hut is great, rolling farmland and the sea in the distance. If you want a peaceful break then i would definitely recommend the Tree House.
Lauren
Absolutely lovely stay. The tree house is beautiful. It was so peaceful and perfect for what we wanted. It was nice waking up with the birds and squirrels in the balcony.
Lorraine
Loved the tree house and all the birds etc but could do with a map or a sign directing you to the walk as had to leave site to find walks when that is what attracted us to it. Also, could do with attending to the road in as so many deep pot holes which were almost impossible to miss. Waited an hour for the owners son to show us how to access the walk but he didnt turn up.
Really, really nice stay in a remote Tree House, with lively views and a really nice character to everything, everything was in good order when we arrived and we really enjoyed our holiday here. Would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a couple of days away.
Fabulous relaxing stay in the lovely tree house Plenty of room for the 2 of us and our 3 dogs Electric Shower was nice and powerful and great size Just a couple of small points to improve on for next visitors. .. Bigger bedsheet as it kept slipping off every night due to the depth being too short Poor reception on TV Teatowel needed Traysdishes needed for microwave e.g. for grilling etc Bread knife would be useful A welcome book would be really useful... especially for refuse instructions I know it's on the email but it's easier in a welcome book as well as local markets, local businesses ie butchers, fishmongers etc, emergency contacts, local events etc Another bin to put clear bag in for recycling products even if it's put on the decking area Mirror needed in main area could be to the left of the hooks for drying hair etc Great stay and would highly recommend to others
We loved it there, the only issue was the shower went cold after a couple of minutes. A maidenwashing line would be useful too but thats being picky!
Stuart
Absolutely loved our stay in this truly unique property. such a tranquil spot up in the trees. clean, tidy and everything you need for a cosy enjoyable break. the weather wasn't on our side which meant drying towels was a mission so maybe an airer for the deck could help with this. the wooden steps were slippy when wet, some chicken wire could solve that and the steep track had some good size potholes which could put off those with a low car but none of these put us off what was a lovely peaceful break in a gorgeous part of the world. we were 2 adults and 2 childrenone of which is adult size we were all fine for space etc. the property provided everything we needed and the hot tub was a great place to relax even when it was raining.
The Tree House and outside decking is lovely, we had a very relaxed calm time. The only comments I would make is the shower is not really useable it kept going scoulding hot and then freezing cold which is not ideal not being able to shower when staying 3 days. Also the route to the hot tub could do with some extra lighting as pathway is tricky to negiotate in the dark and maybe some lighting around the hot tub area as again for when its dark. Also when bring a dog maybe a fence or gate to make it more enclosed means the dog can have a little run around without fear they are going to run off into the carpark.
Beautiful property nestled in the trees. So peaceful. My partner, myself and our staffy Flash enjoyed the isolation and the beautiful scenery. After reading some of the previous reviews, i was feeling a little apprehensive about our stay. There was absolutely no need! The Treehouse was a perfect little getaway for us and met all of our needs perfectly.
We loved everything! It's a beautiful sanctuary
A beautiful place with amazing views and close to new quay. We had an amazing stay
Slip and trip hazard is the best way to describe this place. The slabs that meet the stairs are not embedded into the ground and one is cracked, then we have the stairs that are pretty steep. Once you reach the top you have to slide over the decking to unlock the door, you may think not so bad. Well try doing this at 930 at night and all you have are a few solar lights along your path, you can't see your feet on the steps until you get a 3rd of the way up and a flash light comes on the rest of the way up but does not reach the top for the slippery decking, so here you have 4 small fairy lights to help you see getting across the decking to the door and to try and open it. How someone didn't fall and hurt themselves at this place i don't know. The property itself is to small to accommodate 4 people and should only sleep 2.
Rachel
We had a lovely time at Treehouse. It was clean and well maintained. Lovely peaceful setting & everything was as advertised. Stayed for 3 nights over Easter weekend, would love to see what it's like when all the leaves are back on the trees etc. but the views were lovely anyway. The only tiny negative was the road approaching the property is full of potholes so drive carefully!! Would happily recommend this property to anybody.
The Tree House was a lovely quirky holiday. The only things that would have made it even better would have been a place to sit in a dry area as the balcony was always wet. Also the bedding seemed old and the pillows were very flat. This certainly would not put us off. Our kids loved it and it was a lovely peaceful, bird watching haven. The sofa bed wasn't good enough for 2 really but we made it work.
Louise
Im sure when it was first built it was a lovely little hide away, but the area is in desperate need of updating. It looks very run down and tired. Inside the cabin was comfortable but no way could 4 people stay there. Outside seating area needs some cleaning and maintenance.
Lovely little place in a great location. Would recommend and also return again.
