Ceunant Reviews

We had a wonderful stay. The location was great, so peaceful and idyllic with a gorgeous pub with lovely food only a 510 min walk away. A 15 min drive to the spectacular devils bridge and 20 min drive to Aberystwyth with gorgeous coastal walks. The pod was just stunning, so cosy, clean and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful view from the hot tub. We will definitely be back!
What a beautiful place to stay, it was wonderful to wake up and see the sheep grazing and to look out at the wonderful views. The pod was equipped with everything you needed and it was so warm and comfortable. Sitting in the hot tub and seeing the stars was a wonderful experience. The owners were amazing and could not have been any nicer. A truly wonderful experience!
Driving through the Elan Valley to reach Ceunant was a treat in itself dramatic landscapes and winding roads set the tone for a scenic escape. Once we arrived, the view from the pod was nothing short of breathtaking. From the hot tub, we soaked in panoramic sights of the valley, roaming sheep, and a sunset that felt tailormade for the moment. Pure serenity. Y Farmers deserves a shoutout what a gem! Friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, and food that hits the spot. We dined there twice and were thoroughly impressed. The pie was hearty and delicious, and the Sunday roast? Deceptively generous, with lamb cooked to perfection. A proper countryside feast. The pod itself is a fantastic space ideal for a peaceful getaway. Its nearly perfect, but a few niggles held it back. Communication from the owners was minimal despite promises of a headsup before hot tub maintenance, we had surprise visits in the early morning. Not a major issue, but a quick text wouldve gone a long way. The BBQ setup was a bit of a letdown coals were soaked, firelighters missing, and the pizza stone was broken. The storage box was broken and the lid left on the grass. A few basic additions like trays would make a big difference. The pod could benefit from a little more TLC. TVs had visible smudges, the bathroom mirror hadnt been cleaned, and there were breadcrumbs in the utensil holder. Cobwebs over the windows which are all easily fixable with an extra 15 minutes of attention and worth doing to elevate the experience from Great to Amazing. Ceunant is a beautiful spot. The location and views are unforgettable, and the local pub is a highlight. With a touch more care and communication, this pod could be a fivestar retreat. Still, we left with great memories and a few stories to tell and thats what a good getaway is all about!
Absolutely beautiful stay, me & my partner stayed here to celebrate becoming new parents & to celebrate our last holiday without children, the scenery is gorgeous and the hosts were fantastic, so friendly, and beyond hospitable, the property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful and relaxing which is what we were aiming for, we didn't want for anything during our stay and all of the locals were beyond friendly, the local pub y ffarmers has amazing food which is just down the road and is also reasonably priced with fresh local food at great prices too, the hot tub was running 247 and was easy to use, the barbeque and pizza oven is a great touch too, and the fire pit, the stars at night were fantastic as there is no light pollution unlike in bigger townscities, if you want to get away from everything, this is the place to go. We can't recommend this place enough, we will be coming back here in a few years hopefully once the little one has grown up, i'm sure he will have great memories here too.
Victoria
We absolutely loved this place. Everyone i have shown photos to have asked where it is. We watched a beautiful sunset over the meadows from the hot tub, it was just perfect. The only negative was that there was no oven, but thats my fault for not reading the listing properly but actually, cooking in the pizza oven outside was a nice novelty! Would 1000000 come back
Jackie
An amazing place to unwind and relax. Peaceful and a view to die for.

Our 7 day stay at Ceunant was an absolute dream! Our first holiday of this kind we normally stay in a house in a town. I promised myself I would embrace the experience and I did! It didnt take much effort though! The view is stunning. The pod is spacious the lounge area with a big TV is a bonus for settling down after a day out. The bed is so comfortable, we slept the best in years. Anything you could possibly need is provided. We loved watching the sheep in the field in front and the ever changing sky. Tom herded the sheep with his quad bike one evening which was also a delight to see. We used the hot tub twice a day which enhanced the relaxation feeling. There is only sounds were the sheep, Red Kites flying above & a distant tractor. We were even lucky to see a training jet fly through around 9am a couple of mornings. There is a pod next door but the big fence between allows 100 privacy and we didnt hear a thing from the occupants. A 10 minute walk down the lane is Y Farmers pub. Delicious food especially Sunday roast! and really welcoming & friendly staff. If youre looking for a break from civilisation, time to completely switch off and be at one with nature, this is the answer!
The entire stay was brilliant, easy to locate and gain access to. Had all appliances you could need. The cabin was a lovely layout, we have stayed in a few cabins now and this one definitely takes the number one top spot, it was nice to have a sofa and large tv to relax and watch movies in the evening. Hot tub was perfect, along with the view and the sheep were lovely too. Lastly the little shop set up by your daughter was a brilliant idea my partner was they happy female hygiene products were available if necessary. You really thought of everything. Perfection!
We loved our short stay! The location is beautiful it really is the perfect peaceful place to relax.

I'm not convinced labelling the property as luxury is an accurate reflection of the accomadation or facilities, if you enjoy camping the Pod is perhaps a step up although large family tents probably have as much or more room, we found it cramped personally. It would also benefit hugely from shade of which there is none, with increasingly hot summers the Pod becomes unbearably hot. There was an outside parasol but it was mostly too windy to use. There were no bath robes as stated on the property information and the blankets provided for use outside were all dirty, the Welcome Hamper' was simply two packets of crisps, onetwo packet of biscuits and one can of lemonade which doesn't exactly go with the label luxury. There was no information as to what to do with rubbish or recycling ..... The Hot Tub is lovely and the view from the property is certainly beautiful, the location is quiet and isolated, although if you are a nervous or hesitant driver you might struggle with the single track roads in and out of the property no matter which way you go. Sorry if this all sounds negative and as if we didn't enjoy our time away, but which in fact we mostly did and just a little more attention to small details would improve things immeasurably ........
Shamsia
Beautiful, cosy lodge with a hot tub outside. The hosts were very helpful. Will definitely visit again
Nadine
What an amazing place! Pods we're really clean and homely. The view was amazing! We loved chilling out in hot tub surrounded by natural peace and the sheep of course. All the little touches were great, there was things for the kids that go and a welcome basket. Tom and Bath were really helpful. Would definitely recommend!
Bianca
The pod is modern, well equipped, clean and homely. You can tell a lot of thought, attention and love has gone into it. The views from the pod and jacuzzi are beautiful, and it is so peaceful. We really enjoyed just watching the sheep, and looking at the rolling hills. A great location to explore Devil's Bridge and Aberystwyth. The Farmers pub, a short walk from the pod, was lovely, and the local church, and it's history, was interesting too we were lucky enough to get a tour of the church too. Thank you Tom and Beth, your hosting was brilliant, and the Easter egg hunt for the boys was an extra special touch. We would 100 recommend this accomodation.
Beautiful and peaceful property with stunning views. Very friendly and helpful owners. Wish we had booked longer.
Very nice venue with beautiful surroundings. The owners are very pleasant and attentive.
Joshua
Lovely stay will definitely be coming back
A gorgeous pod in stunning countryside. Perfect for travelling aroundbthe area. Hot tub was amazing, Tom and Beth were great hosts and we loved our sheep neighbours.
Elle-mai
We couldnt have asked for a nicer place to stay for our first time in Wales! We would 100 love to stay again. The most peaceful lodges but also not too far from socialisation!
A barbecue would have been better than a pizza oven
Robert
Really nice view, luxurious, clean, quiet place, I enjoyed, definitely coming back
Lovely place, great views, lovely hosts. A special place to stay.
Rebecca
We have had a wonderful week here and feel completely recuperated. The pod is ideal for a romantic break for 2. You are close to popular tourist attractions but far enough away to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere you could hear a pin drop most nights. There is a pod close by that was fully occupied whilst we were there but didnt hear or see the couples in there either. The owners live just down the road in the farm if you need them. We would recommend this place to our family and friends. Thank you
Wow, what an amazing place. The pod is amazing. The views are gorgeous and the peace and quiet was just what we needed to unwind. So if you're looking for a tranquil break in the gorgeous Welsh countryside with a lovely pub serving great food 510 minutes walk down the country lane then don't hesitate. Get it booked.
Absolutely fantastic place. Spotlessly clean. Couldn't be faulted.. The view from the hot tub is magnificent. We even witnessed a Hercules transport plane snaking through the Valley. It was just like being at home, but better..
Rebekah
Honestly I had the most amazing 2 night away! The lodge was beautiful and the photos do not do it justice. The view is phenomenal and its so peaceful even with the lodge next door you still feel like you are there with no one around for miles. Will definitely be rebooking for another weekend when you just need that reset.
Wow, what can i say. Just returned from a 3 night stay. This is one of the best pods we have stayed in. Not only was it spotless inside and out. The views were outstanding. We were also invited to feed the Lambs on the owners' farm, and the kids loved it. Beth & family were amazing. There is only 1 thing i will say, dont esitate, book it now.
We had a great weekend at Ceunant, the pod was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The location is amazing with beautiful scenery and idyllic surroundings, the pub is a short walk away and staff and locals were very friendly. The hot tub and fire pit are lovely to chill out and watch the sunset. Aberystwyth is a 1520 mins drive with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants. The bunks also looked very comfortable, and we're planning to return with our little ones. Extremely well thought out accomodation for a relaxing break, with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Lovely owners who were on hand if needed.
Andrew
Beautiful pod in the kost picturesque, tranquil environment. The owners Tom & Beth are just lovely, too. Can't recommend this place enough!
Had 2 nights here with some freinds and could npy have asked for a better place ... Had 2 nights here with some freinds and could npy have asked for a better place to stay comfortable and clean beautiful pod loved it thank you
What a lovely gem of a place so beautiful and friendly hosts Meias chicken eggs are amazing thank you Xx
Absolutely loved our stay! Beth & Tom were attentive and checked in throughout our stay ensuring we had all we needed and were ok. I would highly recommend this pod and its whole experience, it gave us a chance to recharge after a very busy period.
Fantastic. Stayed over Christmas period and although the weather was horrendous nothing was too much trouble for Tom & Beth. Very clean, hot tub great, lovely views, peaceful walks and not far from Aberystwyth for shops etc.
Justyn
We had a lovely, relaxing stay. The host was very communicative before and throughout. The pod was spotlessly clean. There was a lovely welcome pack with some local goodies that we enjoyed and the hot tub was a particular highlight, with lovely views. We were glad there was only the two of us if wed brought our kids, wed have been tripping over each other. With only a microwave and 2ring hob, we were a bit limited in what we could cook although it was December and in better weather wed have used the BBQ and pizza oven. We could have done with a bit more cutlery etc as it got a bit tedious having to wash everything up repeatedly, but these are only minor quibbles. Overall, we had a lovely time and the 2 of us would happily return.
We had such a lovely stay! The pod was everything we could have hoped for. We will definitely be back. Thanks again.
Sophie
It was an absolutely beautiful place, with the best views and amazing hosts. Beth was very friendly and gave us information on good places to eat and things to do in the area. The pod was extremely clean, comfy and cozy. We will definitely be returning and Id highly recommend! The views were incredible and all the little extras you needed were there eg fire pit with wood, BBQ with coal and outdoor pizza oxen
I would highly recommend these pods, its set in a glorious scenery of wales, quite idyllic location. The hospitality and standard of the pods are second to none. The owners are friendly and go above and beyond for their visitors. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again in the near future.
We had to leave Wednesday, a day early instead of the Thursday. Both children had developed a severe rash covering their bodies and felt poorly. Since returning home, we have taken the children to Drs who have said it is Hot tub rash and have been prescribed 10 days of antibiotics.
Absolutely loved it, such a peaceful and beautiful place. The pod was spotless inside and out with everything you needed and little thoughtful extras too. Also very private. Beth the owner was more than helpful although we did not meet her. It was very hot to sleep we were there some of the hottest time of the year but we were given a fan which helped a bit. The TV lost signal and froze when you walked around but we weren't inside to watch it much. Lovely pub in the village too. We will definitely be back.
Kathryn
Absolutely fantastic property. Views and amenities were superb. Couldnt ask for better hosts. Cannot recommend this property highly enough. A huge thank you and we will definitely be back.
The pod was fantastic and scenery was amazing. Well thought out property from the owners, who are so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going back!!!
