Laird Lodge 2 Reviews

The lodge was lovely, with gorgeous views across the countryside and of the adorable highland cows kept on the farm. The lodge was cosy but had plenty of room for the two of us, with a wellequipped kitchen. The family running the site were so friendly, and offered recommendations of things to do and see in the area. I honestly dont think I can fault it it was a lovely escape and somewhere wed love to return to!
Great stay, pod was nice a little too small for our liking but the hotub was lovely and the view was amazing

We had an absolutely amazing time at Laird lodge 2! We came as a family of 4 with 2 children, they had so much fun, we like to adventure and the location was perfect for doing that, we visited farms, the country fair, several beaches, lochs, castles, and unbeknown to myself the history of Dumfries is just amazing! The owners are very friendly and helpful and supplied us with extra chairs, towels when required due to the length of our stay, the area is kept immaculate and the lodges have everything you could need! Definitely a hidden gem and we will 100 be back! Xx

We were at Laird Lodge with our three kids one newborn, two young primary school age and had the most wonderful stay. They have thought of everything and we were so well looked after. The views are amazing breakfast with highland coos was a highlight of our summer!, the welcome was warm and it was so cosy and comfy. It was so kid friendly, with a sack of lawn games being left for them, a whole field to play in and ride on tractors for them to play on. Loved it so much weve already booked another break!

Exactly what it says, relaxing & so peaceful. Family run farm, we were lovely & would attend to all your needs. Everything you needed for your stay. Hot tub fab, looking at the scenery. We have been to many for these types of getaways & value for money for what you get was amazing. Laird Lodges I would look at your prices as you are under charging for what you have. Fantastic time away , good luck in your future.x

One of the best breaks away we have had, the lodge and facilities were outstanding. We ordered the breakfast and steak pack, the food was of the best quality. The guide book online was a great touch and helped us with any questions we had. Angie the owner was lovely and was just a text away. We also used the suggested taxi service, the driver couldn't of been more helpful. Would highly recommend Laird lodges and we will definitely be back for another stay.

We have just had the most amazing stay at Laird Lodges. I thought it looked gorgeous in the photos when we booked but it was even better in real life! The pod with hot tub was perfect. Everything was really clean and well thought out as well as being really tastefully furnished. The views are stunning especially when your viewpoint is from the hot tub or the large egg chair ! We used the BBQ a couple of times which was great and enjoyed chatting to other guests up at the fire pit. The bed and sofa bed were really comfy and we slept really well. Angie was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Already thinking about booking out all 5 pods for our extended family!
On arrival we received a hamper with local goodies and a bottle of prosecco. The lodges are in a fantastic setting only 1520 minutes from Dumfries, very peaceful and relaxing with fantastic views from the hot tub. The owners Angie and Andy couldn't be more helpful.
Claire
We had a fantastic 3 night stay at lodge 2, with our 2 wee boys. Angie and Andy were so lovely, the lodges are beautiful and the location is just gorgeous. The attention to detail within the lodges, and outside, as well as the use of local products was amazing. The local recommendations were also great my boys particularly enjoyed their time at the Eskrigg Reserve. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable holiday!
