Callow Pod Reviews

Daniel
Superb pod in a stunning location. First class communication and some lovely personal touches by the owner. Thoroughly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay at Callow Pod over the weekend. We had planned to explore the surrounding area but given the poor weather we didnt get very far which wasnt an issue given the pod had everything we needed for a relaxed day in. The pod was very cosy and comfortable. It was a unique stay with lovely touches. We would definitely recommend this pod to others and would love to come back.
Our second stay with you. Callow pod was absolutely perfect. Our two children had an amazing time. The walks for our dog pixie are incredible. We will definitely keep returning for our mini breaks.
Nicole
Had a wonderful stay in the Callow pod with our reactive dog who absolutely loved the garden! Its at the end of the row of 4 pods so he had nothing to trigger or disturb him. The pod was so cosy and in such an idyllic area, walks from the door and some lovely quiet places a short drive away, Shelve forest was a particular favourite. If youre a bird watcher youre in for a treat!! My only negatives would be that the nonstick pots and pans were scratched as the utensils are metal, so we didnt want to use them. And there wasnt a cloth or kitchen towel to clean up after ourselves. Regardless, we had the best time and really want to come back!!
Charlene
I was really concerned that staying in a pod with 2 teenagers would be a bit much they usually spend all the time in their rooms but we all loved it. It's so well designed with lots of lovely details that really add to the experience. It was comfortable and warm, and oh so peaceful. I really can't fault it. The view from the pod is stunning and we got out and about for a few walks which were less challenging than the Peak or Lake District, but no less beautiful.
This is our second visit absolutely loved it and would recommend it. We are likely to visit again in the future.
Great place, unbelievable views, private and had everything we needed for comfortable stay would go back for sure
Perfect, lovely peaceful setting. Stargazing at night from the hot tub was incredible.
Fantastic accommodation, just what we needed and we have talked about coming back at a different time of year to enjoy the views available. It was incredibly relaxing, and very cosy. We loved it thank you.
Lovely place to stay, really peaceful and relaxing. Hot tub was a nice touch. If you need to recharge yourself for a few days, I highly recommend this place.
My stay could not have been better. Excellent communication with the owner, the accommodation was fantastic and contained everything that was needed, stunning views and loved the hot tub. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be returning.
If I could give 1110 I would, every little detail was thought of. Amazing location, large open space . Our dog loved running around in the secure garden
Really enjoyed our holiday at the Callow pod! There are lots of places to explore and it makes a good base, it was nice to have a hot tub to soak in after long walks with the dog. The treats left for ourselves and the dog were a really nice welcoming gesture.
Callow Pod was the most beautiful, clean, gorgeous place to stay. The little surprise touches were just beautiful and everything was thought of. You can tell how much the owners love Callow Pod thank you so much for having us, we will be back
Beautiful pod! We had a lovely stay at Callow pod, amazing views and a beautifully furnished pod. The only struggle we had was finding ways to dry towels etc, we could have a done with a drying wrack. Other than that the pod provided us with everything we needed to have a relaxing time away and switch off from the world. We explored the hills behind the pod with the dog and came back to enjoy the hot tub which was fab! Overall a fantastic place to unwind with beautiful surroundings, would definitely visit again!
Nicola
Was a lovely cabin with beautiful scenery
This was the forth time we have returned to sunrise pods. We love the location , properties and hosts. The quality of the pods are second to none. Every time we return there is a little extra like a cafatiere. All the little extras turn the pod from great to amazing. A warm welcome pace of home made brownies and fizz, a great way to start a break. We will be back next year .
Very comfortable with decent furniture, will come back for next holiday
Perfect little get away, so relaxing and the host is very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
Lindsey

Georgia
We absolutely loved our stay at the Callow Pod this weekend, my children especially absolutely loved it. The amenities within the pod kitchen were that of home almost its so well thought through. We loved the surroundings, the stone circle walk, the style of the pod being so cosy. Its been a joy to visit, well worth the money and we will 100 be booking to come back next year. Thank you for having us!
Archie
The place is amazing, nice large downstairs, if you are over 6,2ft then the upstairs might be a bit tight. The whole place was warm with the heating when needed and the hot tub was great with the different lights and jets. Great walks to the nearby stone circle and castles such as Powys castle are amazing and not far. We look forward to come back
Rebecca
I stayed at Callow Pod with my two teenagers and dog. The pod was extremely well equipped and presented with the most beautiful finishing touches. I very much appreciated the attention to detail and how the space was used the four of us were very comfortable. With walks from the doorstep offering incredible views, perfect privacy, security for our pup and warm cosy furnishings we could not have asked for more. The owners were beyond accommodating and helpful. As seasoned pod dwellers I can safely say this is the best so far. We will certainly be back and cannot recommend highly enough!
Wonderful, all you could need. Great views over the countryside while lounging in the hot tub. So peaceful and relaxing. Certainly made use of all the space well. Quality accommodation, though a little limiting on height for my 6ft 4in son
Nathan
An absolutely amazing stay here. Views are stunning, the pod is so clean and had everything we needed. If I could score higher, I would. An absolute hidden gem!
Victoria
We had a wonderful stay in your adorable pod! Everything was perfect! You provided us with everything we needed and more! The views out the front were amazing, the walks behind the pod were enjoyed by us all, especially our dog. The hot tub was brilliant and perfect to relax in after a long trek. The pod was warm, cosy and clean and made for a super enjoyable stay. The brownies and Prosecco were such a lovely touch and put an extra layer of icing on an already perfect cake! Thank you. We will certainly look forward to a return visit.
Amazing location with great views, the accomodation was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub.
Cameron
We absolutely loved the pod, very comfortable and situated on a lovely site with fantastic views. We all loved the surrounding areas visiting Montgomery, Bishops Castle and Welshpool to name a few. My wife also went horse riding on nearby Long Mountain. We will definitely be back.
Emma-jane
What an amazing place to stay. ..beautiful surroundings and blissful tranquillity. We will definitely be booking to stay again soon. I highly recommend stargazing while in the hot tub, and waking up early to enjoy the sunrise.
Stephanie
The property was spotless inside and out. Had everything we needed for a chilled girls weekend. The hot tub was perfect and well maintained. The owner popped by and was very friendly and helpful. All the pods were perfectly spaced out and arranged so you didnt feel like you were on top of each other. The location is great for relaxing and walking. The garden was 100 secure, which was great with the dog. Would definitely return and recommend.
Thomas

Olivia
Unreal experience such a lovely place and so peaceful. The pod is beautiful
Loved our stay! The pod was perfect and has everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and had the best views. No complaints, well be back soon!
This is a new opened late December 2022 quirky, comfortable, warm, well equipped and clean pod in a quiet location. It is a the last in line of 4 pods the others are single story ones and as it is at the end of the road no one has reason to come up to your pod. It is accessed up a well made farm track with very little around it and that makes for a lovely peaceful location. There is also very little light pollution in the immediate area so on a clear night you can see many stars, fantastic whilst sat in the hot tub. The owner was lovely and helpful on local things to do and left a well received welcome pack for us on arrival. The sunrise view through the front upstairs bedroom window from the warmth and comfort of bed across the valley on a clear sky morning was stunning. The hot tub was spotlessly clean and it was warm and ready to use immediately on arrival, it was also chemical checked by the owner daily. The walks directly from the pod on the hills behind it are endless and a fantastic benefit to have from the doorstep. The wifi at the pod was strong and stable and there is a good phone signal there too. The pod is not suitable to all due to the tight spiral staircase and the open plan and low ceiling bedrooms, but it was absolutely brilliant for us 2 adults and an 11 year old.
Rozana
We absolutely loved this pod. It is set off the beaten track with no traffic noise and absolutely stunning views. The pod was immaculate and had everything we needed, and the bed was super comfy very low ceilings upstairs but we found them very fun! On our last night we lay in the hot tub and looked at the stars which were very clear, it was brilliant. Local walks were brilliant, especially through the gate up to the stone circle. Our dog loved the space around the pod, there was plenty of space. Although there are 4 pods together, we didn't hear our neighbours once. We fully didn't want to leave!! Highly recommended.
