It was a lovely place to stay. The surroundings were great and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub. The facilities had everything needed for a short stay. I wouldnt have any hesitation in booking again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at Lovies Place for my 30th Birthday. The amenities were more than I expected. Everything available to enable you to cook there if wanted and sit outside on the decking or a short drive to some lovely restaurants. The hot tub was an added bonus which was lovely to sit in and look at the beautiful views. The property was clean and beautifully presented with robes, slippers and a chocolate on the bed when we arrived. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing escape.

The place is lovely but not in winter when the weather is so awful.

We had such a lovely stay at Lovies. The pod is very comfortable with all the amenities you could require. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. We loved the hot tub. A beautiful and peaceful site, within good reach of a number of Lakeland towns and attractions. We went up Catbells whilst staying here, to Ambleside Rydal Hall and caves, Brothers Water, Ullswater steamers, and Aira Force waterfall. And a huge thank you for the surprise pumpkins and Halloween treats our children ABSOLUTELY LOVED them! Well be back.
Matthew
Thank you very much for a great stay we were planning our next trip on the drive back.
Pauline
Perfect getaway! Had everything we needed and more, perfect location with many stunning walks right from the Pods. The Hot tub was just what we needed after a long walk out on the fells, beautifully decorated. Will definitely be returning!
Absolutely perfect for a quiet and very special long weekend during which we explored the lake district for the 1st time and got to know each other again after getting back together following 38 years foolishly apart. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.
Georgiana
We had a great time at Lovies Place for our 10y anniversary. The pod's facilities were great, as described, the view gorgeous and the owners Rob and Diane were really friendly and helpful. We forgot to bring toothpaste and they were kind enough to drive to the pod and give us a tub this has been such an appreciated gesture! Diane also provided us with milk and eggs which was again a lovely gesture. There are a few things we would have loved to know in advance which are 1the insects situation in the evening was out of control and had we known, we could've packed a few more sprays, plugin insects killer, soothing creams etc. They have provided us with a dry oil spray, room spray and citronella candle but we needed a little more help than that my partner has developed a severe allergy from the bites so a heads up would have been nice. 2Another heads up that would have been greatly appreciated was the fact that the main road Kirkstone pass that took us to the property was closed for a few weeks. The Waze app did not pick up on that and we ended up having to detour and take a different route which took us 60miles. Diane has helped us with directions from the road closure back to the highway and to a different route. We rely heavily on the navigation app but in some cases like this one, the app was not updated with the road closure so the owners would have saved us a lot of diesel had they at least mentioned it as a warning before our arrival day. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we will certainly stay there again but probably when weather is less hot and insects are out of the picture.
Fantastic place. Great srtting and lovely pod.
