Bramble Reviews

Stuart
We had a lovely short break at Bramble, very friendly but not intrusive host. Everything was perfect and hope to stay again soon.
The hut was unbelievably cosy, spotless, and set at the top of the field with the best view out of the three huts. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and we made great use of it during our stay. Estelle gave us such a warm welcome and explained everything clearly when we arrived. I had a small concern about the bed frame, but they listened to my feedback straight away and fixed it, which I really appreciated. Its a lovely familyrun place and theyre doing a brilliant job. Its well worth the money, and Id happily recommend it to anyone. Wadebridge is only about an 8minute drive away, and the working dairy farm opposite adds to the charm. If we come back next year, Ill definitely try to book here again. PS Google Navigation takes you to the neighboring farm, just follow the road a little further and turn opposite the diary farm entrance.
We had a great stay here in July 2025, we stayed for a full 7 days, which in reflection was too long in such a small space, but we agreed it is perfect for a long weekend or a few days. Estelle and her husband were so helpful prior to our arrival, answering my many questions etc. When we arrived, we had to phone Estelle's husband who came out from the farm and directed us as we got a little lost and he was so kind. I would say, if we had of known the very narrow road we had to drive down each time we wanted to leave the lodge and head out and return, we may have avoided, prior google maps search of this may give you an idea. Each time we were stuck behind a tractor or had to pull to the side as much as we could to let the locals past as they are so used to the road and fast for us, it was a bit scary, especially at night. If this doesn't bother you, then don't hold back. Yes it is close to Wadebridge, but preferably we wished we'd of booked closer to the coast this is just a personal preference and not a reflection of the lodge We asked for extra toilet roll in the week and Estelle did give us 1, but we had to go the supermarket to buy more, as well as sponges for cleaning the dishes, only a J cloth was provided. If you are frequent toilet users husband struggles with IBS or need this for time of the month, take more with you. We loved using the hot tub, Estelle had it ready when we arrived. But we could never get the temperature right, as it powered by log burners. It was either too hot or too cold, our own experience but found this limited us to jumping in whenever we wanted. A hose pipe is provided too, which we used to cool it down. We had the very best views of all 3 lodges, one Morning I even spotted a wild deer running across the field, as well as many birds and wildlife. The family cat said hello too. We loved hearing the cows in the farm too, we even spotted the hurd one Morning off to be milked, it was great watching this. The lodge was beautiful and so sweet, beautiful small details to make it homely. It was very well kept and our friends and family loved the photos they thought it was so cute. On the whole we had a great holiday, but as the lodge is small it lacked indoor relaxing spaces, other than the bed, like a sofa. Although plenty of seating outside for relaxing too, as well as table and chairs. We probably wouldn't return, purely location wise, but would reccomend for shorter breaks, which the other lodges around us seemed to be doing. Thank You Estelle and family.
We had a wonderful stay celebrating our 50th birthdays. Gorgeous surroundings, hot tub was the best. Saw loads of evening wildlife. Hut was immaculate and comfortable, and attention to detail was obvious. Especially the milk in the fridge, ment we could have a well deserved cuppa after a long journey. No problem if we needed more logs etc for the wood burners. Thankyou

Estelle was very welcoming on arrival and the price couldnt have been any cheaper for what you were getting it was so cosy me and the Mrs loved it! Will deffo be going back some time in the future thankyou for having us!
We had a fabulous week at Bramble. Hot tub very easy to use and plenty of logs provided. Shepherds Hut very cosy and bed very comfortable. Fitted out very well although we didnt cook as ate our most of the time. Nothing too much trouble for Estelle, our host, and we would thoroughly recommend. Great location, and plenty to do in the area.
Andrew
Estelle is a lovely host could not fault this accommodation. It contained everything we needed and was spotlessly clean and fresh. The bed was amazingly comfy we're looking for the same mattress now for home.... The log burner was really efficient and there were plenty of logs for both that and the hot tub. Fresh milk from the farm was a lovely touch.
Michael
A true hidden gem! Our stay here was an absolute delight, all thanks to the welcoming hosts, the breathtaking surroundings, and the charming accommodations. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape or planning a short visit to Cornwall, this place is ideal. Just keep in mind that the limited cooking facilities might lead to slightly higher dining expenses, but that's par for the course in such an intimate and stylish setting. Furthermore, its central location makes it convenient for exploring the beauty of northern Cornwall. We absolutely cherished the sunsets from our cozy spot, with views over the tranquil natural landscape. Despite a few other huts in sight, we still relished the ample space and privacy, creating the feeling of having the entire place to ourselves. This is an absolute must for any traveler exploring the southwest, and we hope to return in the future.
We had a brilliant stay. The Shepherds Hut was really cosy everything you would need and immaculately clean. The hot tub was very relaxing with stunning views. We can't wait to come again.

Thank you so much! We had such a wonderful time! We loved the hot tub and wish we had one at home. It is so relaxing. We loved the location so quiet just the sound of the birds over head. The facilities are of very high quality, the bed was very comfortable. Its a lovely touch to have the wood burner and the fire pit. Will definitely look to stay longer next time!
We had a great stay here. Little out the way but well worth going.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. On arrival Peter as very helpful explaining everything. Shepherds hut was very clean and comfortable. Only downside for us was that it was up a steep hill and we couldnt cycle directly to the Camel Trail, but it was no problem parking in Wadebridge.
Wonderful setting and a nice host, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, we particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet and the hot tub! Ideally situated for days out as well, we had a great time.
Patricia
We had a lovely holiday at Bramble. Lovely Shepherds hut, well equipped, lovely comfortable bed. Enjoyed using the hot tub everyday. The hosts were very friendly. We do hope to return next year.
We received such a warm welcome and the hot tub was fired up for us and ready to go! The owner was very helpful throughout our stay and the accommodation was lovely, comfy bed, warm hut thanks to the wood burning stove, nice bathroom and touches, like the fluffy towels and dressing gowns. We had a lovely holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Brilliant, cracking little spot beautiful views with some great owners, will definitely look at returning next year
The Shepherd's hut was beautiful, set in tranquil surroundings with beautiful views from the hot tub. Our host was fantastic and responded to any queries really quickly. It was a perfect place for a honeymoon, I can't recommend it highly enough!
The Shepherds Hut was lovely and well equipped with everything you would need, it also has a great view and its based on a farm easy enough to find off google maps, the owners were great and show you how the hot tub works on arrival and are there for anything you need, so overall we highly recommend a stay here definitely one of the best spots in the area it is also well positioned as youve got the likes of the camel trail, padstow and rock nearby and still plenty more not much further away.
