An absolutely perfect weekend away. Exactly what we needed quiet, beautiful surroundings and gorgeous facilities. Perfect place to get away from it all and relax.
Kayleigh
Came for a couple of days with my partner, it was exceptionally clean, quiet and in a beautiful area. The hosts are lovely, answered all of our questions and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The hut is beautiful, very well decorated and the bed is super comfy. The hot tub was clean and the outdoor area was perfect for relaxing, cooking and eating outside. There is nothing that we would change, we had the most amazing stay and would definitely book again.
This was the perfect place to recharge and reenergise. Its ideal for taking a pause from the hurly burly of life. Everything is thought through very carefully by the owners. The aircon was such a relief in the heatwave. We loved the hot tub and hammock we had ideal weather to really enjoy the garden. Thank you David for your warm welcome and for providing this little haven for a few days.

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Southdown. The guests were friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was absolutely as described and more. It was the most idyllic setting and we have come away completely relaxed and refreshed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a country escape. We will definitely be returning.
Had an amazing weekend with my partner. Has everything you need for a nice break away. Hot tub was perfect and the outdoor barbecue was put to good use! Probably had the best nights sleep weve both had in a while and the cabin we had was amazing. Coffee, tea, biscuits and much more. Would highly recommend and return! Just to add, the guy whos own the lot, such a nice chap and was very helpful from start to finish!
Bethany
Absolutely wonderful holiday. So relaxing and cosy. Just what was needed after the stresses of home life and work. The hot tub was amazing!!! Also I got engaged here! Will definitely be back
Walter
Eye catching and the reality exceeded the expectation! ! We arrived and the owner came out to say hello and show us too the pod, the area was really peaceful next to no noise, the facilities were amazing for cooking and the outside bbq was really easy to use and did a great job of cooking burgers sausages etc! The bed was really comfy as I lay down on it I was gone, the air con was lovely aswell just keeping that temperature down so you didnt overheat
My partner and I had a 4 night stay at Limetree. From the moment we got there, to the moment we left, we had the most amazing stay. The owner was welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, recommending local places to go for things to do and places to eat. The hut was so beautifully decorated, with so many little touches that made it feel so warm and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the huts are really well soundproofed. You can tell the owners have put so much thought into the design. The outdoor seating area was perfect for meals outside, or just relaxing next to the fire. The hotub was clean, checked every day and was wonderfully powerful. This spot is a little haven away from bustling life, but also really short drives to local towns, historical sites and nature walks. We cannot recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be returning.
Absolutely beautiful place! Everything is so well though of the hut, the patio, and its surrounding area. The hut has everything you need, just bring food and clothes and you're set. We loved our stay and will most definitely book again! The hosts are so friendly, genuinely so, and attentive. Everything was spotlessly clean and the hot tub perfect. The bed was super comfy the shower had great water pressure and we didn't run out of hot water at any point. The gardenpatio is also beautiful and perfect for chilling out, cooking, eating, sunbathing. We also made use of the lawn by the firepit area, it was great for some lawn games in the evening. We had a scorching weather, and so the AC in the hut was a blessing! It was just incredibly lovely, quiet, private and peaceful exactly the kind of place where you go to destress and enjoy those rare moments of relaxing. The locals were all really friendly also, and happily stopped to chat with us and gave directions for good walks. Any negatives? Yes We had to go home. Please don't hesitate to book a hut at the Limetree, it is perfect in every way.
Caitlin
Lovely little holiday home! Packed with everything you need and more, I love that the huts have AC that came in really handy!!
Maisie
This accommodation was amazing! Everything was super clean. The huts are fully equipped with everything you need and more! The views were incredible and was the highlight of our stay being able to cook outside, sit and relax in the hot tub and sit around the fire on chilly nights I would recommend to anyone that just wants to get away and relax for a few days! The owners were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would 100 come and stay again!!
Beautiful and comfortable stay with fantastic hosts. The shepherd's huts are geared towards couples, but I came solo to decompress after a stressful work period and it was perfect. Everything worked, the hosts are friendly, helpful and available for anything you need. It was stressfree and easy to find. I loved the thought put into the decor and the attention to detail around guests' needs. I can't overstate how cosy, comfortable and beautiful the huts and surroundings are. It was lovely to walk around the grounds and to the farm shop for local produce to cook on the outdoor grill. Huge thanks Wendy and David.
We had an amazing weekend. The huts are furnished beautifully and the little touches from providing cooking oil and salt and pepper, to playing cards and dominos were so thoughtful. It might not seem like much but weve never stayed anywhere that provides you with cooking ingredients. This isnt a lodge and anyone looking for that type of experience should look elsewhere. But anyone who is looking for a luxury glamping experience should look no further than limetree. Hosts are friendly and accommodating and having the sheep right next door makes you feel like youre right in the heart of the countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again!
Dillon
Absolutely fantastic stay, could not fault it at all. Hot tub was perfect, everything was clean and in good condition. Sheep were lovely! Everything we needed was already thought of, any questions or issues were dealt with ASAP. 1010 will return!
Lovely, peaceful place and very friendly place!
What a fabulous place. The attention to detail is spot on. So easy to check in. The place is spotless, bed is really comfortable slept so well. The decor is gorgeous, Molton Brown bath products, bathroom is spotless shower is lovely and hot. Really clean and worth every penny. The hot tub is lovely and the little rubber duck made me smile as a fun edition lol. Hosts Davis and Wendy are wonderful, checked to make sure we wanted for nothing and even treated us to a glass of champagne our last night. Theres a little farm shop 5 mins walk from the site that does a lovely fresh home produce breakfast. Super market and pubs 510 min drive if that. Definitely recommend this place and will be rebooking for next year. Oh and if you looking for a lovely day out whilst staying we recommended Clumber national park its beautiful then get back to the site get the log burner going and chill ! Wonderful, thanks Dave and Wendy see you again
Amazing everything was perfect a beautiful spot and location. Spent three nights here for my partners birthday and couldnt have asked for better. Every detail was thought through and made for a fantastic stay
Luxury, clean, Cozy and very quiet
We had a fantastic time in the accommodation. It was perfect in every way. We will be back to stay again. Thank you for a lovely time
Bailey
Beautiful 2 night stay here in the Southdown pod, everything was thought about down to the tiny little details. We especially loved the outdoor log burner and stove and cooked all our meals on these. We will 100 recommend this to friends and family and will most certainly be returning. Thanks again for having us!
Amazing find, a beautiful gem. Wendy and Dave are the best hosts. The Shepards hut is very well laid out and fully equipped. Bed super comfy! Outside space and hot tub are beyond none. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed with your stay. Rain or shine!
Carrie-ann
It is a really beautiful place and the huts are really tastefully decorated, the finishing touches and little added extras made the place really special and very much appreciated, I really loved it and can't wait to come back, thank you.

We were amazed! I wanted to surprise my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary and yes we both were surprised. The setting was beautiful! The accommodation was fantastic! The owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It has lots of supermarkets, a petrol station and pubrestaurant around the area. It is about an hour away from a beach. Where we had a fantastic day out. If we didn't go out we could have a relaxing time in the hottub, play some games that were provided. Then in the evening light the fire, have a BBQ and relax. We have already recommended to our friends and family and will definitely be booking again. Overall a relaxing, fun and romantic holiday! Thanks for having us. Bonus there was a massive swing for an adult to swing on haha!
