Whernside Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay, the owners were very friendly on our arrival, the pod was welcoming, warm and had everything you could need. I would 100 recommend to friends and family and will be staying here again
Kayleigh
What can I say, this is such a beautiful, peaceful and serene place to stay, its clean and tidy, the decor is so aesthetic, its cute, and so relaxing, the owners are attentive and caring to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, I absolutely loved my stay here and will definitely be booking to stay again.
Very nice place, we loved every moment and the views are amazing!
Stephanie
Lovely owner. The pod was very clean and had everything you needed towels, mugs, plates. Comfy bed and the heating kept the place lovely and toasty warm. The pods are as advertised with beautiful views over the rolling hills. There were speakers in the ceiling so you could play music and hear it while cooking or chilling in the hottub. The hottub takes around 45 mins to fill and stayed hot for around 4 hours. For someone with exzema having fresh water in the hottub instead of chlorinated water was actually so much better for my skin. The closest pub was around 10 minutes walk away. Thank you for a lovely stay. Steph & James
Lovely place for a relaxing few days . Very clean and good facilities. We took the dog and he loved it. Friendly hosts. Looking forward to coming back.
Michelle
Beautiful pod Beautiful area The pod was clean and well looked after, but there was a few things that could be done, 1. it is advertised with a hot tub, this is actually an small hot tub which they dont turn and you could only use once a day as they needed to empty it and put fresh hot water in they said theres no bubbles or anything its not a jacuzzi just a hot tub , very disappointed by that as we wanted to sit and relax in it throughout the day as well as night not sit in a glorified bath tub while the water quickly goes cold in the cold weather! We paid extra for this property to others we were looking at as it was meant to have a hot tub. 2. As we couldnt access the hot tub and the weather was bad we had to stay in, the internet access was very hit and miss 3. Kitchen equipment was a little lacking and the oven was a combo oven microwave and you cant for much in 4. The bedding was clean and freshly put on, but it smelt of fried food as the kitchen and bed are next to each so maybe take some fabreeze to use before you go to sleep 5. lack of bins, we tidy up after ourselves and the pods are at the back of a tea room house and there are no allocated bins and at one point there was no bins at all for 2 days, we was nervous about using the bins at the house as we was unsure if they were for their property or joint use? The pod is lovely and if the weather is nice and you like being out all day it would probably be a lovely stay, but I definitely wouldnt be returning or recommending it to anyone.
Olivia
Soooo disappointed, got there at half 3 , to see all cleaning trolley still sat in our room , we assumed we was early , however the check in did say 3 , so we rang the owners twice , with no response. The cleaning trolley was sat outside the pod the entire stay. Second to that our hot tub had no water in it? With no instruction anywhere as to why or how to use it , we was never met or greeted by the owners despite reviews saying otherwise . We was that fed up we left a day early
Vanessa
We had an amazing 3 night stay the pods are perfectly equipped and really cosy and what an absolute luxury watching the sunset from the hot tub each night! The owners were great really friendly in fact, we both commented on how friendly everyone we came across was such a lovely village. Even our little dog loved it and became braver than weve ever seen him when we go away usually hes terrified of everything! We will most certainly be back for another relaxing break already recommended it to lots of our friends and family!
Lovely clean quiet place, shame the TV didn't work. An occasional bad smell of drainage. Owners where great, very chatty, and available. Location was very good.
