Fern Reviews

Lovely relaxing place to stay, looking a little tired in places but doesnt stop an amazing holiday. Its very hot in the summer so a fan would be a handy accessory to have! Most relaxing holiday Ive been on ever! Also great and safe to let our dog off lead in the private fenced garden which is a great added bonus
Had a lovely stay here, very peaceful. Plenty of wood supplied for the hot tub and the owners were really helpful at answering any questions I had before and during the stay. Great location for some stunning walks along the SW coast.
Beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Our dogs loved the open space to roam and chill. My only concern was the bed is very high and I struggled to get onto it. Other than that, we had a wonderful, relaxing break.
Jessica
We loved this little cabin! so cosy and in a beautiful area. The hosts made us feel welcome and at home, and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog who enjoyed zooming around it. I'd recommend anyone looking for peace and comfort and security close to lots of amazing places to explore and with a wonderful view of cornwall to stay here! Thank you for having us!
Really enjoyed it Sykes did make an error saying it had WiFi but it did not. But apart from that we loved the stay great for a couple with a dog. Would go back again and re book. Owners are lovely
Benjamin
Beautiful little place. We really enjoyed are stay and will definitely be back thank you
Tracey
The little hut was cosy and cute. .but whilst our stay,.. there was lots of flies in the hut..which was a bit off putting..and you could here them buzzing around inside at night. The little hut was clean but maybe feeling tired with all her visitors and she would benefit from a pamper!! Not as peaceful as I wished..as the road gets pretty busy..and Fern is close to it. Views are beautiful and seeing the cows and geese in the fields was lovely. My dogs had a brilliant time being free from restriction..and in a safely enclosed area with lots for them to sniff out. On the whole it was a lovely break.
Rachel
Lovely holiday. Really cosy and romantic place. Hot tub was amazing. Did take a while to heat on the first day but after that it heated up quite quickly. We had an issue with hot water but the owners sorted that very quickly. Bed was a little softer than Im used too but was very comfortable. There is another guy in front of this one but you can only see the neighbours as either of you walk to and from the huts so its secluded and private. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return.
Matthew
Fantastic 3 night stay,we had such a peaceful and relaxing time. Thank you Julie and Andrew you thought of everything which made our stay even more perfect. We took our dog Lily with us and she enjoyed running around, as the area was all fenced off we knew she was safe. Would definitely return.
Alison
Excellent stay at Fern shepherds hut, which had everything needed to make your stay comfortable. Fresh farm eggs were available, which were delicious. The hut is warm and comfortable with access to the large garden area for the dogs. It was lovely to wake up to birds singing and sheep in the next field. The hot tub was easy to heat up, just keep and eye on your fire. We also cooked on the firepit which was great. The hosts were great and available if needed. In conclusion, a quiet fabulous stay in the country. Highly recommended, and we will be back. Thank you!
Sharon
Fern is a little bit of heaven in a beautiful county. Very cosy and comfortable. The directions to get there were clear and accurate. The facilities were very good. I didnt use the hot tub or the fire pit but maybe next time. The owners have provided a wonderful, relaxing escape. The fresh eggs are delicious. I wish I could have stayed longer than 3 nights but as it was a last minute booking I really enjoyed my mini break.
Eleanor
Clearly a lot of effort put in to maintaining cleanliness and comfort for each guest. Couldn't fault our experience at all!
Francesca
Lovely stay. Exactly as described. Facilities were all working well, including hot shower. Great enclosed garden to let the dogs out. Was unable to get the hot tub to a warm temp despite having the fire on for 3 hours, but it was raining and cold so maybe a good thing! Lovely area around to go to pubs and walks. Very little signal so nice to switch off and relax. Highly recommend for a weekend break.
Olivia
Most amazing getawayholiday we have been on and honestly would recommend for sure we will definitely be booking again as we were so happy with it ! !
Lovely place for a our short break. Rural location, safe for our dogs and fully enclosed Clean and comfortable. Highly recommended
Antony
A lovely presented property with all you could need to enjoy a stay. Great location to enjoy the countryside and many locations nearby. Even despite the inclement weather we had a very enjoyable stay. One thing to note if you have small or young dogs like us they can get out under the picket gate. We place logs from the wood pile to block this gap.
Great place to stay with my partner, they helped to find gluten free places to eat locally.
Beautiful location, with easy access to lots of the things to do in Cornwall. Lovely little hut with a great shower. We loved our stay here.
Vaughan
This cute shepherd's hut is the ideal place to relax and unwind, with beautiful views. It is absolutely perfect in every way, with everything thought of to make your stay enjoyable. Myself and my husband will definitely be booking again next year. We would highly recommend it to anyone
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful hut. The location is so peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all. Inside the hut was just as lovely, and had everything you needed. We enjoyed exploring the local area with some walks the coastline is stunning. All in all a great holiday and would wholly recommend!
What a lovely little hut, everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. We loved the hot tub and used it every day. WiFi would have been good as we used our phones a lot to find all the nice places to visit so had to top up the data. We loved being surrounded by nature with all the modern convenience the hut had to offer and only us in the field wonderful.
Everything was amazing. Only thing that set me back was the hot tub took just under 4 hours to heat, however it was seriously cold
Wow, what can we say other than WOW! ! What a great time we had staying at the Fern. Not only did we love every minute, our 2 cockapoos, Maggie & Mabel, had the time of their lives there too. They absolutely loved running around the grounds and seeing some of the farm animals from across the way. And we were able to relax, knowing that it was in enclosed, so the dogs were safe at all times. The hot tub was perfect, along with the outside fire. Julie, the owner, went out her way to ensure we had the best stay there. From providing stuff for the dogs poo bags, waterfood bowls, toys etc, she also posted back to us a few bits that we had accidentally left behind there ops! The Fern was super clean and comfortable. Just an all round perfect stay. We will definitely be back!! And I'll be recommending it to everyone I know!! Thanks so much again Julie!! Amy, Dan, Maggie & Mabel
Abigail
We had a lovely relaxing stay with our two dogs, Andrew and Julie were really helpful and were on hand should we need anything additional. We would definitely stay again.
Erzsebet
We had amazing time. The place looked exactly like on the pictures. The owners looked after as so well. Anything we need it they just only a text message away, the place is so peaceful and quiet. And lots of places is in 1015 min away driving. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who would like to chill.
A wonderful place to stay. Quiet and relaxing.
